Easter Party Ideas - Put Yourself In Their Shoes For A Day

By Jeff Stevens

The air is thick with anticipation as the children count down the days until Easter. You would love to do something special for them and hence need to come up with some really nice activities. Easter Party Ideas are all over, you just need to look a little closer.

When it comes to the actual egg, one can really go all the way. Get a few class mates together at home and start a pre-Easter decorating project. Try to get even numbers, say four in a team. Give them a theme, like for instance farm animals, the egg head family, or various cartoon figures. If the children are very small give them hard boiled eggs to decorate.

Give each team a big area to work on and make sure you assist when it comes to gluing pipe cleaners, toilet rolls, cotton wool and scraps of material onto their eggs. The older children will find it amusing and challenging to blow out the egg yolks and to work on hallow eggs. Ask them to use their imagination like maybe decorating theirs with sequined or glitter and beads. They could make their super hero and their favorite rock star.

A great activity is having a jelly bean hunt. Get a really spectacular chocolate egg or bunny figure which you want each child to have. Map out their particular route with jelly beans and see how they follow it with everything they have. Let them find hidden words in plastic eggs at first and once they have spelled out their sentence they get their grand prize.

They need to bring it back to the Easter Bunny base where they are going to choose their prize. The same will go for the older children. Get your Easter Party Ideas from children, listen to what makes them excited and build on that.
