Brisbane is one of the largest regions in Queensland, as well as the Queensland Capital. Brisbane has a population of 1.5 million people and is located on the river. All around Brisbane you will see misty hills, beautify scenery and experience a friendly atmosphere. Its airport is both international and domestic and is 20km away from the city centre, in a suburb named Eagle Farm. You can travel to and from the airport by car or train, however the train is the quickest way to travel and the least expensive. Children who are accompanied by an adult ride free and an adult fare cost AUD 14.00.

With its botanical gardens, side street cafes, great restaurants and historical landmarks Brisbane is known to be a very cosmopolitan city. You can also enjoy Australia's finest shopping in the city centre.

If you want to explore the city streets you can take an enjoyable ferry ride or take the City Cat. All the streets are names after British royalty and follow a grid. You can find streets names after queens and princesses running north-south of the city and king and princes running east-west.

The Top-Up card would serve as a great purchase for your stay at Brisbane. This card will allow you to use all forms of public transportation with up to a 20% discount. These cards can be purchased online, prior to your visit, or at retail stores and train stations throughout Brisbane. A minimum balance of AUD 5.00 is required for purchase.

Brisbane's suburbs offer great appeal to travelers with their friendly atmosphere and laid back attitude. Some places to visit are Kangaroo Point, Paddington, and Fortitude Valley.
