Five Activities Every Visitor Must Try While Visiting San Diego

By Terry Hunefeld

1. Spend your vacation in the heart of San Diego at a one of the may quality hotels in Old Town. Take the time to explore the many historic sites and shop in a variety of stores that can only be found in Old Town. They all offer different types of unique and delicious items just waiting for you to discover! You may wander through historic buildings (a blacksmith shop, historic stables and the oldest schoolhouse in San Diego). At the Southern entrance to Old Town, overlooking San Diego Avenue from the second floor, is El Agave Restaurant and Tequileria. As you enter from a curved staircase with Mexican tile and cactus plants you have a sense of Old Mexico. A short walkway past wonderful, balcony seating and you arrive at the dark but inviting doorway and inside you will find an array of tequila like you won't find anywhere else -1,700 bottles of tequila, some over 100 years old.

2. Visit the Cave Store at La Jolla. What would you expect to find in a "cave store", maybe some fossils or seashells? There's more. They have a hole in the floor of the store that leads down to the only sea cave in California you can enter by land via 40 stairs into the earth - the wonderful and spooky Sunny Jim Cave. The smells, the sounds, the feel! Walls of the tunnel have water trickling and you go down...down...until you walk out a small wooden dock into the cave with the ocean crashing on the rocks below and gulls nesting in tucked away places above.

3. On your next trip to San Diego you can be assured of two things: the weather will be amazing and you'll discover lots to do at Seaport Village. Here you can explore 50-plus diverse shops, 17 unique eateries and outdoor entertainment and find everything under the sun. Hungry? Most any craving can be satisfied here. Dine at any of four restaurants or nibble, snack or chow down at more than a dozen smaller eateries. Surf and turf to burgers and pizza. Ice cream, cookies, popcorn. Whatever. Thirst's covered too-sodas, milkshakes, lemonade, beer, wine, cocktails and, well, too many drinks. One last decision to make: a table inside or out on the deck with a view of the bay?

4. Spend a cool, relaxing day at the enormous (4,000 plus acres!) Mission Bay Park surrounding Mission Bay. Many families pack the car and spend the day here. They bring bikes, scooters, camping chairs and foldable picnic tables. On the way to the park be sure to pick up a bunch of take-out food... (we recommend Rubio's or Filberto's) and pack a cooler full of drinks and extra snacks. Bring the badminton set and books, crosswords and Sudoku puzzles. It's a great place to relax or bike or walk along the sidewalks. Just find a nice spot under one of the many trees and either catch some sun or fall asleep in the shade. On warm days you get a cool breeze from the bay and the ocean. Oh, and you can bring your dog too. This is America's Finest City, get outside and enjoy it!

5. Head to one of dozens of San Diego beaches (all free!) where you can swim, body surf, boogie-board, read a book, people watch, collect seashells or just chill. No adult beverages are allowed on San Diego beaches anymore, so you can be assured of a fun, peaceful day at the beach. Sunsets are always magnificent with sparkling postcard-perfect views of the ocean.

Following are three websites with helpful lodging information when you visit San Diego or other surrounding communities: San Diego B&Bs, Carlsbad Bed and Breakfasts and Hotels in Del Mar California.

An introduction to Anglesey Holidays

By Alex Thompson

Located just off the coast of North Wales the Isle of Anglesey is a great place for a holiday. Near Anglesey is the historic town of Caernarfon as well as the scenic Snowdonia National Park. The island is famous for its amazing beaches and camping holidays and watersports are very popular.

The Isle of Anglesey comes with a wealth of history and evidence can be found of this at places such as Beaumaris Castle which lies on the north east coast of the island. The castle was built during the reign of Edward I of England over 800 years ago. Although never completed Beaumaris Castle is rated by many as one of the finest castles of its type in the world.

There's plenty to do outdoors on Anglesey from activities and farm parks to coastal walks. There are two country parks located close to Holyhead on the islands west coast. Penrhos Nature Reserve is a chance to view many of Anglesey's native species and is just a few minutes from the centre of Holyhead.

The Breakwater Country Park was built at the same time as Holyhead's breakwater which allowed the town to become a major port. Stretching along the shores of Holyhead mountain the Breakwater Country Park has many country walks to enjoy. You should also take a walk over to South Stack on the islands western tip which stands on a rocky outcropping reached only by traversing a narrow suspension bridge.

Watersports enthuasists love Anglesey with its many wonderful beaches. On the islands south coast is the village of Rhosneigr with two terrific beaches. You'll find a wide variety of activities going on at Rhosneigr such as sailing, fishing, diving, and canoeing.

If you fancy going more upmarket then Anglesey can cater to your needs as well. There are a number of high quality hotels on the island including the Tre Ysgawen Hall Country House Hotel which is located near the town of Llangefni at the centre of the island. Two other excellent hotels worth looking at are the Trearddur Bay Hotel and The Bulkeley Hotel.

When You Want A Scuba Diving Career

By Simon N James

Are you tried of your normal workday? It probably seems that there's nothing more to life than driving to work in the morning, working with uncooperative colleagues, getting very tired, and then drive back home. Add to that all the noise and air pollution you encounter along the way.

If you're adventurous and unconventional enough, a career in scuba diving may be right for you. Usually, those who pursue scuba diving careers were scuba diving enthusiasts who wish to take their hobby a little further. Scuba diving couldn't possibly be compared to other career choices.

Scuba diving doesn't usually start there though. It usually starts where many other's scuba diving began; with the open water course. Then they move onto the advanced course and learn much more and realize they really enjoy all that scuba diving has to offer. They see diving underwater in a whole new way, and really want to share that with others as well. Often this leads them to work towards a career in scuba diving instruction.

All professionals begin as learners and scuba diving is no exception. Even the instructors begin with basics and then master the difficult aspects of diving. However, one quality that is essential is a passion for the sport. The instructors have to have a great love for diving that will enable them to teach others in such a manner that they will enjoy diving, rather than being scared of it.

Like other professionals, scuba diving instructors also used to be students. They began with easier courses on scuba diving and then slowly moved on to more advanced courses. Of course, through the process, they were able to see more to scuba diving than just having fun while diving. They were able to see a different side of scuba diving that encourages them to share the sport to others.

Generally, we have the notion that the diving instructors have all the possible knowledge about diving. That, however, is not the case. Scuba diving is a sport that is continuously expanding its horizons. The military, scientists etc are doing a lot of research on this sport. Thus, although the instructors are experts, it is unfair to demand that they know everything under the sun about it.

Though also consider that you need to deal with people, and follow timelines. You need to be able to teach your students in a short time, how to remain safe and alive when scuba diving. This is quite a responsibility. If you feel this is for you, it's time we look further towards your career in scuba diving instruction.

To become a diving instructor you must first be a Dive master. With that out of the way, then you have to take the Instructor Development Course. This extensive course will take you deeper into diving than you have been. It will educate you on diving standards, safety, students, the system, and relevant law.

By the end of an instructor development course, you are expected to learn more than just the basics of diving. You will be taught about diving standards, safety and regulations and the scuba diving system as it relates to the law. Of course, you'll learn several techniques that you can employ to effectively teach your future students.

The course will, apart from teaching the basics, give you a fair idea of the safety regulations and the stance of the law towards diving. In this course, you will learn enough to teach others and still, you always have scope for improvisation.

Cozumel Island - Mexico

By Robert Banks

One of Mexico's largest islands, Cozumel, is located 20 km (12 miles) from the mainland, and 60 km (36 mi) south of Cancun. It's a flat, limestone formation shaped like a holster, and pierced by tens of cenotes (water-filled sinkholes), many with their own marine life, which are an extra attraction for tourists and snorkellers who come to explore the island's fantastic offshore reefs.

Jacques Cousteau first popularized Cozumel in 1960, when he identified Palancar at the island's southern tip as one of the world's best diving places. He triggered a growth in tourist development, only curtailed in with the establishment of the National Marine Park in 1996: but the reefs were badly damaged by the deepwater piers built for cruise ships to bring new tourists.

Attitudes changed quickly. Cozumel's new islanders (the 40,000 Maya who welcomed Herman ('Stout') Cortes in 1519 were reduced to 30 by 1510, and Cozumel became uninhabited) realised the value, not just of their spectacular marine wealth, but also of the island's undeveloped centre.

You'll never get a better chance to appreciate Mayan culture so close to good beaches. The biggest Mayan site, San Gervasio (named much later), was for centuries sacred to lx Chel, the goddess of fertility, and one of the Yucatan's most important sanctuaries. There are several others, recovered from jungle and swampy mangrove lagoons now teeming with cormorants, pelicans, primary-coloured tree frogs, iguanas and crocodiles.

These days, the duty of collective care is replacing the insensitive mistakes of the 1970s. You can see 250 species in its clear waters, including the bright blue-and-yellow queen angelfish, the toad fish (unique to Cozumel), and huge sponges like the barrel and elephant ear, which grows to 3.6 m (12 ft) across. Cozumel is fabulously pretty and exotic, and you should go there with someone you love and watch the sunsets.

The winter is extremely cold and filled with frequent snow showers while the summer months are extremely humid and offer crowded hotels and streets.

Located in central eastern Europe Hungary is considered a gorgeous landlocked country. You will find mostly flat lands offering only a few rolling hills and small mountains.

The majority of Hungary is covered in either woodlands or wetlands and will boast an array of wildlife for the adventurous explorers. The national parks offer a way to get a peek at the countries wildlife in a safe environment. The tectonic fault line is where Hungary lays so the many hot springs will bring enjoyment to those wanting to rest their mind and their bodies. Several spas offer hot springs along with their other first class treatments.

Hungary is home to some of the best European architecture including the Esztergom Basilica which is the third largest church in Europe. The Pannonhalma Archabbey is also situated in Hungary and is the second largest abbey in the world. There are several historical architecture designs to see in Hungary including the baroque castle in Budapest.

Budapest is a very popular tourist city due to its rich historical culture. The city is delicately placed along the Danube river banks and people come from all over the world to partake in the beauty it has to offer. The most popular landmark for tourists is the Buda castle.

When shopping in Hungary you will see many beautiful pieces done in painting, pottery, embroidery, and carvings. The strong art inspired country is home to many famous composers and the love of folk dance is fluent throughout the country.

Hotels are reasonably priced in Hungary and offer great service with comfortable surroundings. You will get better rates during the winter and autumn months but summer will be harder to find a place to stay as the many tourists begin to arrive and the rates are a bit higher.

Hungary cuisine offers soups, smoked meats and sausages. Most menus will include beef, veal, chicken and pork entrees and of course the famous goulash. Goulash is a Hungarian dish offered throughout the country but may be prepared differently in many places. Expect a glass of wine to be served with dinner since Hungary produces red and white wines in there many vineyards. Beer, fruit juices and coffee are also produced in Hungary.

The common currency in Hungary is the Forint but the EURO is accepted at most places throughout the country. If you are a member of the European union you will not be required to obtain a visa to visit or work in Hungary. U.S. citizens will be required to have a valid passport as well as a visa if their trip is going to be for longer than 90 days.

Clinking glasses for a cheer in the local pub may have you viewed as rude or impolite since it was a decree for locals to remember the poor treatment the 13 generals turned martyrs in the 19th century received. The decree was to end after 150 years, which was 1999 but many still are upholding the tradition.

Tips for Your Child's Halloween Costume

By Phil Sikes

When it comes time to go shopping for your child's Halloween costume, you have no reason to worry about getting ideas. Kids tend to be quite vocal about what costumes they want to wear on Halloween night, but if you are like most parents, you will want to keep control over costume choices.

The good news is that with a few ground rules that you can agree on beforehand, the two of you can come to a mutual agreement and both be happy when Halloween finally shows up.

First decide on a budget for your Halloween costumes and hold the child to this. They may want the coolest, most expensive thing to come down the pike, but ultimately you end up paying the bill for this outfit that will likely only have a few days life in your child's wardrobe. Once you decide how much you want to spend, try and give as many choices therein as you can. This is a fun thing, after all. If you have concerns about subject matter or age appropriateness, then you need to direct them in this.

There are also safety concerns to be considered depending on how old your children are. Think about whether or not a costume could cause a child to trip and fall while walking or perhaps even suffocate them. Consider the weight of the costume and whether or not it will be too hot to wear. Especially with girls, it is important to think about whether or not your child will be too exposed in their costume. This often occurs because costume manufacturers aim their designs at adult audiences. Think seriously about how your daughter will look. While you and your child might be fine with some, others might make you uncomfortable.

One option that often works out quite well is shopping for Halloween costumes on the Internet. You can start looking at costumes online much earlier than when they arrive in local shops. The selection and availability of costumes is also better online. It is not too difficult to find an online costume shop with low prices, creative designs, a large range of sizes, and fast shipping.

Since local costume shops and department stores limit their stock of costumes to what is particularly popular during the season, they do not have as many creative costumes to choose from. Online costume retailers, on the other hand, do not choose their stock in the same manner.

When you go to your local Target you might find Pirates, Princesses and Wizards this year, and not a whole lot else, in about two minutes of browsing online I found children's costumes of a cell phone, a man-eating shark, a gumball machine, all the characters of The Wizard of Oz, Colonial boys and girls, the Statue of Liberty and much, much more! Take the time to find a truly unique costume this year!

Take your time, shop early and make this Halloween an event your child will remember!

Not All Cheap Flights Are Good

By Graham McKenzie

Some of the very things that make cheap airfare possible can actually cause you a few headaches. To begin with, you need to do some research. Establishing a baseline ticket cost, by contacting the major airlines, will help immensely when you begin comparison-shopping, but it is time consuming, and requires you to keep careful records.

The availability of Internet sites promising cheap airfares has made flying more assessable, and much more affordable. However, there are some definite downsides. The biggest problem for many seems to be that they do not know where to start. With so many options available, it is hard to know which one will give you what you need at the best possible price. Each company runs things a little differently, and you cannot assume the stipulations that govern one, will apply to all the others. The only answer is to search until you find the package that works for you, but again, this can be a long, drawn-out process, and there is no guarantee you will end up with a significant savings.

Some travel sites will not confirm which airline you will travel with, or your travel times, until after you have agreed to purchase the ticket. If your itinerary is flexible, you may not see this as a significant deterrent. However, for some people, it can be very inconvenient.

If you do not, it could be a problem. One way you save on the cost of a flight is by choosing an alternate airport. However, a few sites require that you do so. You need to weigh in some factors to determine if such a move really does save money. Keep in mind the time factor, as well as the cost of a taxi or car rental. Also, consider weather conditions and the lay of the land. Unexpected detours, getting lost or dealing with icy conditions, can make that savings disappear fast.

Do not forget that many cheap-fare tickets are non-refundable. One way you can reduce the cost of your ticket is to plan in advance and book early. This is great if your plans do not change. If they do, however, you may be stuck eating the cost of that 'cheap' plane ticket. There could also be a cancellation fee factored in, as well. Hidden costs like this can be a back-breaker if they catch you unaware.

Many low-fare sites have certain restrictions. Often times, you cannot use frequent flyer miles, or even a standby option. Educating yourself on all the relevant information can require time and patience. Usually the information is there, if you are willing to look for it. Often, it is hidden in different niches throughout the site, so be prepared to spend some time in front of your computer.

Finally, remember that when you book on a cheap-fare, Internet site, you will not be dealing with real people. If you do run into problems or have questions, there are not a lot of options available. You're pretty much on your own.

Chile Was Made for the Gay Traveler

By Howie Holben

Chile is a popular destination for gay travel due to its unique geography, which allows travelers to visit volcanoes, enjoy beautiful beaches, ski or snowboard the Andes and spend a night on the town in Santiagos gay district all in the same day. Chile is a country rich in landmarks and varied landscapes including the Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia, the penguin colony at Mirador de Chepu, the Easter Island statues, Elqui Valley in La Serena (which is steeped in legends about extraterrestrial activity) and exquisite architecture and churches that dot the cities, countryside and coastline.

With many cultural, historic and natural attractions to choose from, Chile offers a variety of options for gay vacations, which include snowboarding or ski strips to world-renowned Andes resorts, touring Chiles wine country, pilgrimages intent on experiencing the countrys deep tradition of Catholicism and exploring churches, family vacations on the beaches of Vina del Mar, sightseeing adventures to take in the breathtaking landscapes of Patagonia and learn of ancient island civilizations, or urban excursions centered on experiencing the cosmopolitan culture and nightlife in Santiago.

As a country that has been deeply influenced by both the Catholic Church and the military, Chile would certainly not be described as a bastion of gay rights; however, as a whole, the country is slowly becoming more progressive and is beginning to become more accepting of the LGBT community. Gay life in Chile centers largely around Santiago, which is where singles, couples and families on a gay vacation will find the most welcoming atmosphere and the highest concentration of gay-friendly and gay-owned establishments. Santiagos gay community is primarily found in the Barrio Bellavista, which is a trendy neighborhood with charming shops, cafs and eateries and is also home to most of Santiagos bathhouses, gay bars and gay clubs. Although it is not likely that you will see rainbow flags hanging for rooftops or same-sex couples walking through the streets hand in hand, it is quite common to find gay magazines openly displayed in newsstands and couples sipping coffee at cosmopolitan sidewalk cafs.

A night on the town in Bellavista often begins around 9 or 10pm with dinner at a gay-owned restaurant, such as Capricho, followed by drinks or dancing at one of several gay bars or gay clubs, which can easily go into the early morning hours. Gay travelers have a selection of gay clubs to choose from that range from the typical fare you would find in most urban areas to more risqu options complete with live sex shows. Santiago also has several bathhouses for those who are so inclined, including one slightly upscale option with a clientele made up primarily of professionals. Do keep in mind that playing safe is as important in Chile as it is in the United States.

The fact that Santiago is the most accepting city in Chile for a gay vacation, coupled with its central location for ease of exploring all that Chile offers, this capital city is one of the most popular Chilean locales for gay vacations. Whether you are planning a Chilean gay vacation for you and your partner, your family, or a group of single friends, working with a travel agency that is accustomed to organizing gay travel in Chile is your best bet for ensuring a safe, fun trip that you will always remember.

Five Activities Everyone Must Try While Vacationing In San Diego

3. Visit downtown San Diego's Seaport Village for hours of free entertainment, leisurely strolling and window-shopping. Here you can explore 50-plus diverse shops, 17 unique eateries and outdoor entertainment and find everything under the sun. Alongside four miles of tree-lined paths you'll find all sorts of entertainers doing their thing. Bands, singers, dancers, magicians, whatever. There's something for any age, so have a seat, take in a show and get a little sun. Check for the scheduled stage performances and daily entertainers. All of the talent performs, where else, outdoors - after all, you're in San Diego!

4. Bike or jog along Mission Bay Park's many trails. Joggers and walkers share more than 20 miles of scenic running paths that wind through sunlight and shade near the shoreline and feature workout courses at planned stations along the route. Mission Bay Park is the largest man-made aquatic park in the United States (over 4,235 acres). Here you'll find tons of stuff to do including paths for walking and jogging, and playgrounds for children. It is one of San Diego's most popular locations to picnic, ride a bike, fly a kite or sail a model yacht. Fire rings make it possible to cook out and stay warm. Here, away from overhead wires, friends and family gather to launch colorful kites into the bay breezes. A great place for a beach chair and a book.

5. We've got 70 miles of coastline here in San Diego. That translates into dozens of sun-worshiping possibilities. The best part is that San Diego beaches are all free. They are all great for swimming, surfing, jogging, body surfing, boogie-boarding, reading that mystery novel, people watching, collecting seashells or just chilling.

Following are three websites with helpful lodging information when you visit San Diego or other surrounding communities: San Diego B&Bs, Carlsbad Bed and Breakfasts and Hotels in Del Mar California.

50cc Scooters

By Owen Jones

50cc scooters have an engine capacity that classifies them as small motorcycles or mopeds at the limit between the vehicle category and moped classes. Regulations differ between many countries of the world, when it comes to the right to drive 50cc scooters with or without a driving license and common laws are seldom achieved. For example, in some EU countries you can ride such motorcycles without a driving license. The exceptions are France and Italy, where you need a car driving license to ride vehicles up to 125cc. There is a fairly big level of legal ambiguity in the definition and classification of scooters and mopeds.

Restrictions and licensing fees are a lot smaller for 50cc scooters and they are not legally considered as motorcycles. This definition is applied to vehicles above an engine capacity of 50cc. However, an in-between definition or class has been defined by some jurisdictions. Therefore, between 50 and 150cc, vehicles are described as motorized bikes. In other parts of the world, 50cc scooters and above, are described as motorcycles.

Hence, the terms of such a vehicle's classification vary from state to state and cannot be discussed as if they are interchangeable. Consequently, when you shop for a scooter or you are searching for information, you have to take these details into consideration as well in order to understand everything properly.

Technically, 50cc scooters are among the smallest and best designed on the market. They are very popular because of their very low cost, their minimal fuel consumption and the possibility of them being used by teenagers and adults alike. They are both chic and nippy at the same time, so such a vehicle is seen as a cool alternative to public transportation or inner city driving.

You can zip around with a scooter or moped, avoiding the traffic jams of heavy traffic. Although they have a rather small cylinder capacity, 50cc scooters have four stroke engines with a high performance to outperform in various mobility and transportation purposes.

However, 50cc scooters share common features with the larger models, because the design lines are usually kept similar by manufacturers. Therefore, there is an electric start and a kick start mode, the brakes and exhaust come in sports variants and they all have some form of storage space beneath the seat.

Before buying a small motorcycle, you should learn something about the certification for registration, the guarantee, the fuel consumption and the technical limitations of the model. Nevertheless, the same tips hold true for larger designs too.

Things To Look For In A Las Vegas Guide

By Las Vegas Tours

Many times, we all think we know just what exactly Las Vegas is about and why it exists, although we really don't. Actually, most people - relative to the population in the United States and other parts of the world, haven't been to Vegas. And that's where using a good Las Vegas vacation guide can come in handy, especially when the trip there will be for the first time.

What do all the good guides have in common? Well, they all take care to show how really jumping certain parts of Las Vegas can be, like the casinos and the Strip, for example. But all of them make sure they're not just huge discount coupon books and nothing else. The best guides take care to highlight all the fun parts of the city, in addition to the ever-present casino and gambling activity on the Strip.

Many of these guides also try to engage in a little evaluation and rating of the different hotel and casino-hotel rooms and lodges, too. And they have sections on dining in the city; for example, which restaurants are worth spending some money on and which are good for just a quick buffet-type episode before going gambling again. And some of them will also try to educate the reader a bit on how casino gambling works.

As far as finding these guides, the Internet is the best place to start, of course. Go online and spend some time going over a few of these guides to get an idea of the Vegas experience. There are also more than a few quality blogs on Las Vegas, Las Vegas gambling, etc. to fill a whole day's worth of reading. Many of them talk about a certain aspect of the city, so put a few of them together to get a bigger picture of Vegas.

Using a good Las Vegas vacation guide is a recommended action to take when it comes to going on a vacation to that desert city. Try not to become overwhelmed by all the things to see and do and the recommendations in any of the guides, though. Use them like a tool, not like a school textbook.

Sacramento Airport Transportation Comes In Many Forms

By Antonio Davinci

Landing in an airport does not mean that your traveling is over. You are going to need to find some means of transportation to help you leave the terminal and this will usually come in the form of Sacramento airport transportation. While you are in Sacramento, you will have a number of different types of vehicle transportation made available to you, finding the right type is simply the most important.

The easiest form of transportation from the airport would be a taxi. Usually, after every major flight, taxis are waiting outside of the airport to help passengers get to their destinations. This is the most common form of leaving an airport although it is not always the best choice. You may end up fighting the other passengers for a limited number of taxis and they can usually be pretty crowded.

Shuttles are usually provided by the local hotels. They will often come in the form of vans in a regular schedule, helping to take any guests of theirs to and from the hotel. It can be a very convenient service for you to use, as this shuttle lift will deliver you directly to the lobby of your hotel. The only problem is that you need to be a guest of the hotel to make use of this shuttle.

You may choose to rent a car to help yourself get around Sacramento on your visit. This will give you the freedom to explore the town at your leisure and you will be able to easily do anything that you want. The downside to renting a car is that you will be left to figure out your own directions in an unfamiliar city and teaching yourself to navigate while handling a car that you may have never driven before.

Many airports will feature a limousine service to anyone looking for transportation. The Sacramento airport transportation of a limousine service could be a great option for someone looking for a way to make their way around. This large automobile will provide room for you and any traveling companions as well as any of your luggage, all with room to spare. The luxury automobile can be rented for any period of time, giving you access to the rest of the city as well.

When figuring out the best type of transportation that you could have during your time to Sacramento, you are going to need to figure out all of your needs and destinations. The freedom to explore the city on your own is an important one and you will want to stay comfortable as well. Anything from a rental car to a limousine service is available, giving you plenty of option when it comes to all of your transportation needs.

Why You'll Love Memory Foam Pillows

By Vassell DuCasse

A good night's sleep is essential to life. Not only will you have a hard time getting through the day without it, you could start seeing long term ill effects if it continues to happen. Everyone you talk to will tell you to do whatever you can to get the rest you need. As this becomes more of a necessity, the market for memory foam pillows has risen.

You might expect various companies to get in on this, knowing there's a great market for whatever sleep products they might develop. But the deal works out well for you as well, because it gives you a lot of options to pick from. Even if they're just looking to make money, they're giving you the chance to get the kind of sleep you really need for a more relaxed life.

Many people don't even consider how much a difference a new pillow would make. We often don't even realize how much we depend on the pillows already on our beds until we consider trying to get through the night without them. At that point, we might well want to upgrade our pillow to something better, and we'd have a lot of options. The ones made out of memory foam, though, are the best in terms of acting on the promises they make.

Just what makes such a pillow worthwhile? The main point is the support it offers. When you're able to give your neck what it needs, your whole body will start to feel relief from pain as your spine and other elements are aligned. This means that in just one night, you'll notice a difference, and this will continue to become more significant with time.

Some of the other advantages of using these items are surprising; like the fact that they can even reduce headaches. If you already have a memory foam mattress, you'll know how good it feels, and the decision to buy the pillow as well should be an easy one. Even without the mattress, you can still get a lot just from buying the pillow on its own.

Unfortunately, the mattresses cost quite a lot, so this isn't always a feasible option. That said, there's no reason not to get the pillow on its own. It's a great solution for people on a small budget, and you're still going to get a lot of the advantages you're looking for. Save up for the mattress if you can, but that's no reason not to go buy the pillow now.

Even if you're not spending a lot of money, this pillow will cost more than a regular one, so you want to be sure you shop wise. Things like density and thickness help determine quality. Density should be about five to six pounds and thickness around four or five inches. Make sure you have a good return policy and warranty, just in case.

There are lots of good places to find information on this sort of thing. You'll find them mostly online, but you should also be looking for the personal recommendations you can only get from people you know. These help you be sure a product is good before you buy it so that you can rest easy knowing your relaxation will be improved for a long time to come.

Cocos Island Of Costa Rica

By Victor C. Krumm

Cocos Island is a national park of Costa Rica nearly halfway to the Galapagos Islands. Jacques Cousteau described it as the most beautiful island in the world, Costa Ricans voted it one of its Seven Wonders, and it is a finalist as one of the Seven Wonders of the world.

Cocos lies about 340 miles off the Pacific shore on the way to the Galapagos. Though it is very small, its fame today comes from its underwater treasure. Some call this gem Shark Island because of the incredible number of sharks inhabiting its waters, along with a huge number and variety of other fish, sea turtles, whales, and porpoises. Considered by many to have the best big marine animal viewing on earth , experienced scuba divers brave 30 hour boat rides for a Costa Rica diving adventure of a lifetime.

The island has long been famous for pirates, real and imagined. It is believed by some that it served as inspiration for Robert Lewis Stevenson's famous novel Treasure Island but real pirates often hid off it to get away from the English fleet and to bury treasure. Indeed to this day two great treasures, called the Devonshire Treasure and the Lima Treasure, may still be buried there. How big are they? Think hundreds of millions of dollars.

Cocos Island also fired the imagination of author Michael Crichton who set his famed novel---and Steven Spielberg's movie---Jurassic Park there.

The island is very isolated, hundreds of miles from any other land. Except for a few Costa Rica park rangers who are there to prevent its waters from poaching, it is uninhabited. That isolation has protected its rainforest from destruction and until recently its underwater splendor was also unmolested .

If you are one of the lucky few who get to visit Cocos, you will need previous permission from the rangers to go ashore and you will not be allowed to camp overnight. But, as you walk the shores, thinking of pirates and imagining where the buried treasure is, you will see many rocks along the shore bearing inscriptions from sailors over the centuries. Way before Kilroy was here, sailors wrote their names and dates of visits. There is even find one bearing the name of Jacque Cousteau's son, who signed a rock a couple of decades ago.

The Task of Searching for Disneyland Discount Tickets

By Ethan Timmerton

When most people are asked about their favorite destination vacation, they will say they would like to go to Disneyland. There is something special about being able to be taken back to your childhood with Disney cartoon characters all around you. It excites even adults and makes them want to step inside Disneyland and see the character firsthand.

The problem is that the Disneyland dream remains only dream for lots of people. The reason is that although we love the idea of going there, ticket prices have become more and more expensive as the years go by. It is very hard for most people to afford it.

Most people have at least heard that you can grab Disneyland discount tickets online if you look hard enough. But if you think finding them is easy at an early point before your vacation, you may be mistaken. Disneyland discount tickets are not offered regularly by Disney, but rather other companies that sincerely want to help people get into Disneyland for less.

One of the things that you can do to get Disneyland discount tickets is to reach them this year, which is 2009, and tell them that it's your birthday. They will simply ask for several identifications plus documents that will prove that it is really your birthday. Once you are able to prove this, then you are eligible for a free ticket. Not just a discounted one but for free. What a perfect birthday gift, right?

When you buy the Disneyland ticket online, you may be able to take advantage of a discount. This is because they will charge you more if you wait to do it at the gates. Yet another choice you have is purchasing them sooner than you will attend the park.

My final suggestion is that you search for travel groups that provide Disneyland discount tickets for purchase. They offer them in packages sometimes, or as standalone offers. If you try searching for them online, be aware that there is not very many of them because Disneyland will not make the agreement with too many companies to provide discounts. But if you search hard enough, you are sure to find something good.

Though it's true that it is kind of difficult to find and research these Disneyland discount tickets, imagine the happiness you will feel once you have found a tickets and are ready to go on your vacation. Don't let your childhood dreams pass you by because it takes a little bit of searching.

International Freight: Don't Forget These Considerations

By Anthony Peterson

You need to be aware of your international freight services options if you want to get the best price and have your items handled properly and shipped to the right destination. The chosen carrier varies depending on the type of items you are shipping and your preferred delivery timeframe. This article provides a review of how to assess a good supplier, and how they can help you choose the best service for your needs.

Considering Independence

A good supplier leads the pack in international air freight as well as other shipping options for a number of reasons. Such providers serve up more options and have no links with any one carrier. Good suppliers' primary consideration when selecting the best delivery service for individual situations is the customer. Sending air freight cargo through reliable suppliers means they will have no trouble finding the best price and matching solution for whatever packages you want transported.

Container Size

Package size affects the type of international freight service picked. It is easier to send smaller parcels via air courier services while it is more inexpensive to have larger containers transported by sea. Be aware that most packages sent by sea take a long time to reach their destination and have highly unpredictable delivery dates attached.

Promptness of deliveries

Shopping for a decent international freight service means checking how fast they can deliver your packages. A supplier with International Express Package Courier service is open to rush deliveries to over 80,000 global locations and lets you monitor parcels while en route to their destination. This option answers any questions customers have regarding delivering packages fast and securely.

On tracking your boxes

If you wish to send a box that holds precious materials, door to door deliveries are your best bet. A decent supplier is experienced in providing courier services for just such situations. Financial records, legal documents, tenders as well as artwork are commonly included in shipments. With this service you are able to monitor items sent and even request for signed shipments to ease your mind.

A great supplier is one that can deliver all your packages to their destination, utilizing the right service that is not priced too high. This firm makes available cheap international freight along with other special courier service choices when called for. Receive quotes from suppliers within the day. Drop them a line or visit their website to obtain a free quote online.

Rules To Be Aware Of When Travelling Internationally By Air

By Jonathan Wills

Everyday, in the United States, a large number of individuals, couples, and families travel by way of an airplane. Out of all of those travelers, a decent number of them are traveling overseas or to a foreign country.

As international travel continues to increase in popularity, it is likely that the numbers will continue to rise. In fact, there is even a good chance that you may make the decision to travel to another country. If so, it is advised that you famialrize yourself with the international air travel rules.

Many travellers get confused when it comes to the international air travel rules. This is because that the rules pertaining to the international air travel are different from the rules for domestic air travel.

Although the rules for domestic versus international travel are much the same, they do have critical differences which you should find out about before you travel so as to avoid any potential delays and disappointments.

Although some air travel rules are similar between international travel and domestic, one of the rules which applies to all airports, including airports which are not classed as international airports, is the screening process. All passengers will need to pass through the relevant airport security checkpoints.

All your checked baggage has to go through this screening process. Nearly all airlines thoroughly inspect checked baggage looking for flammable, explosive or illegal items, which was not the case in the past.

Since a large number of international airports not only offer international flights, but domestic flights as well, intentional passengers are not always separated from domestic ones. Essentially, this means that the passenger screening procedures, as well as the screening for all luggage will be the same.

All flyers are advised to remove any of their accessories, which may set of the metal detectors, as well as their shoes. Your shoes will be sent through the x-ray machine. This is done to ensure that there are not explosives or other dangerous materials hidden in them.

There are a few differences between the domestic air travel and international air travel at the first check-in. You will need to approach the relevant airline counter to register yourself when you first arrive at the airport. Your checked luggage will be examined and processed for the trip at this check-in.

For domestic flights you only need to supply a picture ID. This is usually in the form of a government issued identification card or a drivers license will suffice. For international travel you will need to supply additional proof of identification.

Proofs of identification are dependant on the airport from which you are leaving from or arriving at. At such airport you may be required to provide your birth certification, passport, visa or certification of citizenship as well as your picture id.

It is natural to think about taking all forms of ID along with you just to be sure but you really should not do this. You should keep as many of your personal important documents safe at home and check beforehand which documents you must take.

The above mentioned international air travel rules and procedures are just a few of the many that you may be required to follow. If and when you are unsure about a particular rule, it is advised that you seek professional assistance. That assistance should either come directly from an international airport or an international airline.

Pet Risk Destination Assessment: Check health risks in the destination area such as Lyme disease, Rabies, Heartworm, and other parasites and viruses. Treat your pet to prevent affliction. As well, check for breed restrictions at the destination before traveling. Some types of breeds and animal species are banned.

Assess Your Pets Health: Travel can be a stressful time for any pet. Make sure that your pet is healthy. Sick, injured, too young or too old, and pregnant pets should not fly. Make sure all of the vaccinations are up-to-date. Vaccinations must be administered at least 30 days before departure. Rabies certificates should be obtained and signed no more than 10 days before departure. Make sure that your pet's nails have been clipped to protect against them hooking on the carrier's door, holes, and other small spaces. Do not feed your pet for four to six hours prior to air travel. Vomiting in the carrier is messy.

Pet Identification: Provide your pet with two identification tags. Make sure the tag contains your name, all of your contact numbers, home address, and phone number and address of your destination location. A microchip is a permanent way to identify your pet. Another option is to acquire a pet passport. A pet passport can be purchased at most local pet stores or on the internet. The passport will keep all of your pets health information and emergency contacts readily available. Attach a photograph of your pet to the top of the carrier. This will help with identification if it gets out of the carrier. You should keep a picture in your purse or wallet. You should also place the words, "Live Animal" on the top and the sides of the carrier.

Appropriate Pet Carrier: Make sure you have a durable carrier with handles and proper locking. It should also have good ventilation and the pet should be able stand up, turn around and lie down. Write your home and destination contact information on the carrier. On the inside, lay comfortable bedding such as linen. As well, place ice cubes in the pets dish in the carrier. It will melt during the trip and provide the pet with water without making a mess.

Know Your Airlines Pet Policies: Pet policies differ among the various airlines. Some airlines have such restrictions as cabin weight limitations, a certain breed prohibited, no pets when there is bad weather, and certain pet carrier guidelines. Make sure you call ahead of time to obtain the essential information on flights and flying with your pet.

Traveling with a pet requires much planning and preparation. When you pack for your pet, make sure to include leashes, collar, food, medication and its favorite toy. Following the above tips will help ensure a safe and less stressful trip on the airplane making your trip much more relaxing and enjoyable.

Travel Tips For Germany

By Graham McKenzie

A trip to Germany for U.S citizens will require a valid passport and if you are planning on staying for more than 90 days on business you will be required to obtain a visa. Non European union members will be required to have a valid passport to enter Germany as well.

The majority of people in Germany speak German but English is spoken by many as well. Learning German is a great idea before you go, at least enough to order your meal or ask for directions if you get lost. You will find that a town that is not used to many tourists will have less English speaking locals.

When travelling anywhere in Europe you want to travel light. Only bring what you feel is absolutely necessary. If your items will fit comfortable in the overhead in the airplane then you can expect they will fit nicely in the save provided on the trains in Germany and throughout Europe.

You will want to see every inch of the beautiful countryside Germany has to offer but you of course will not have enough time. You should make a list of the more important sights of interest before you arrive. You want to make sure you are not rushing on your trip and that your favorite sights are seen. Central Germany is the place for the adventurous who want to ski or hike their way through the country. Southern Germany will offer castle tours that will be of great interest to the history buff.

When visiting Germany try to stay in one location. One part of Germany has enough to offer without you trying to travel long distances to get from place to place.

The trip that is localized to one city allows you to become more familiar with the locals and the surroundings. You will have a feel of being at home by the time you are leaving and will be ready to plan your return visit.

If you plan your trip with a travel agents help you will be able to join some of the group tours. Group tours are a great way to see the most famous areas of Germany for first time visitors or people travelling alone.

Most restaurants will charge you for water it is not free as it is in the states. You will also seat yourself when you walk in to any bar or restaurant. A good tip in Germany is two or three EUR since the wait staff is paid more than the ones in the states.

The grocery stores may seem a bit odd to the Americans visiting as they will be forced to leave a deposit to unlock their cart and use it, you get the deposit back only by returning the cart to location in which it was taken. You will bag your own groceries and pay for the bags you use as well. This does cut down on cost to the store and the prices are lower on the items they sell.

Be sure to have your cell phone charged as public phones are rare in Germany. There are spots to log on to the internet and make public calls but these spots are hard to find.

Your Holiday Rental Homes To Venice Are Reserved Months Before

By Peter Mason

How to Find the Best Vacation Rental in Venice Finding the best vacation rental in Venice Italy can be quite a challenge especially if you are not very familiar with this place. Overall, your holiday rental homes and trip to Venice are reserved months before your departure. It is frequently difficult to locate a holiday home that is available especially during the high travel season.

If you're making plans to take an extended trip in Venice, whether you're from the US or even Alicante, Spain, you will find it helpful if you start looking at vacation rental homes a few months prior to you departure. You should not delay. You might not find quality holiday rental homes available in the style and price range that you prefer.

Hunting For the Right Vacation Rental in Venice The best way to locate a holiday rental home in Venice Italy would be to connect with a good real estate broker who knows the area. If you don't know any real estate brokers that are knowledgeable about who is based in Venice, request referrals on real estate agents from acquaintances, relations, and coworkers. Asking for referrals will make things easier for you, so don;t hesitate to ask your acquaintances, relations, and coworkers if they've ever known any agencies working in real estate in Venice.

With your referrals in hand, you'll want to contact this agent by email and begin by telling him/her what it is that you wish. Stress that you expect quality If you get a encouraging reply from the real estate agent, you'll next set a time and date to meet with the agent either by telephone or online conferencing. Here you'll discuss any anxieties that you may have. Online conferencing is a much less expensive than an international phone call, so make use of the internet.

Your first online conference is your chance to give him/her a good idea of your wishes for a holiday rental home in Venice Italy. Here too you'll discuss your first choices with the agent so that you will be certain you can get exactly what you want. It is safe to assume that if you live abroad in the US, Australia or Calpe, Spain, you will not be able to visit the property before you sign the contract. It is also important that your real estate agent completely understands what it is that you want.

Besides the discussion with the agent about your requirements, you'll also want to talk about the coast of the holiday rental and your projected budget. The cost of holiday rentals in Venice Italy may be quite pricey in several areas of the city. You will need to let your broker know what you think her or she might for you before your arrival. It is after all their area of expertise and they can be a guide to your successful holiday in Venice Italy.

Top Tips For Using Online Travel Agents

By Hazel Monty

The best course of action to take sometimes isn't clear until you've listed and considered your alternatives. The following paragraphs about online travel agents should help clue you in to what the experts think is significant.

Travel agents give advice and sell and administer the bookings for a number of tour operators. It is estimated that there are some 7,000 travel agency shops ranging size from the multiples, with several hundred outlets each, to the individual shop. Travel agents must be connected to the system and have their own personalised account or PNR in order to be able to book flights and change flight times in co-operation with other agents around the world. The lessons will provide you with a working knowledge of maintaining a basic system, and how to book a tour, car or hotel.

Travel agents can also find accommodations that are closest to the conference site. If a travel agent is working with one group of people there is also a better chance that they will be staying in one location, or, at least, close to each other. Travel agents usually share information on discount tickets that are still available for sale, and prices are reduced on these tickets for "sell-off". Travel agents have back office, mid-office, front office and consumer facing booking tools that must be reprogrammed to accommodate a change of this magnitude. Online booking tools do not have automatic controls that would allow an agent to refuse a certain airline's booking based on the form of payment or for the travel agent to automatically charge a customer's credit card as a merchant for certain airline transactions.

If you base what you do on inaccurate information, you might be unpleasantly surprised by the consequences. Make sure you get the whole story on online travel agents from informed sources.

Travel agents have access to all of the available flights on all of the airlines. They can quickly check availability. Travel agents sell 87 percent of cruises, 81 percent of all tours and packages, 51 percent of all airline tickets, 47 percent of all hotels and 45 percent of all car rentals. Travel agents know where to find the best deals. While they may use many of the same web sites as the ordinary consumer when planning a trip, they do have the added advantage of having access to the latest sale and promotional information.

The cruise is supplying the beer and wine, while the hotel sponsors a manager's reception each night where cocktails are on the house. I figure all of the subsequent days on this little "junket" will be just as nice. Cruises used to come in two flavours: one, for the newly wed, and the other, for nearly dead. That notion is more outdated than the fur you've hidden in the closet. Cruise companies and land destinations don't bite the hand that feeds them. The (travel agents) place all our customers with them, and then do all the work.

Booking a ticket from Mumbai to Bangalore would not be difficult but booking a return ticket would require him to contact operators in Bangalore, and that process becomes more difficult. Booking a cruise with a travel agency also affords the vacationer the ability to fully customize their vacation. The agency can help you select a variety of optional add-ons, often at minimal additional cost. Booking your flight and hotel at the same time may result in a better deal. Be sure to call the travel agent in advance to get the best deal on the best hotel for you, especially during the summer months when accommodations book quickly.

Take time to consider the points presented above. What you learn may help you overcome your hesitation about online travel agents to take action.

Enjoying Provence France

By Pierre J Kallmec

Provence France which is bordered on the west by the Rhone River is a Province in France. The river which is on the western side of the Province forms a common frontier with neighboring Languedoc. On the east the Provence France is bordered by an Italian border. Over all, the Province stretches over one hundred and fifty miles. Provence France spans over a one hundred mile around from Serre-Poncon in the north to the islands of Hyeres in the south.

The Rhone River borders the Provence France on the west which is a fast flowing frontier river. The true artery of the Province of Provence France is the Durance River which was one a seasonally destructive torrent that has since been tamed by the use of dams. The Durance River sluggishly curls around a broad valley like a snake. People who are interested in sight seeing on their trip will certainly want to check out these two rivers during their trip to Provence France.

You will find that the landscape of Provence is filled with many distinct characters and contrasts. There are many lush valleys that can be found throughout the Province. You will commonly find these lush valleys in areas that have less fertile vegetation. Alongside the edges of the major rivers you will find the Alluvial plains. You will want to visit the Camargue which offers a very interesting landscape in which the distinction between land and sea is often blurred.

You will find carved caves between the limestone rocks in certain parts of Provence where the water meets the land. There are some really large and easily accessible caves located in Provence. These caves happen to be the some of the most popular tourist spots in all of Europe. In some located rivers have cut deeply into the limestone forming gorges. The Verdon Gorge is one of the most popular sight seeing gorges in the Province of Provence France.

There are many complicated mountain ranges in the Provence France including those that lay west of the Verdon Gorge. This happens to be the same area in which the folds of the Alpine and Pyrennean meet. The very famous Mont Ventoux is also located in this area. The Mont Ventoux is the highest peak in all of the Province. By traveling further south you will come across some buckled mountain ranges known as the Montagne Ste Victoire. These mountain ranges are extremely popular and were even one of the favorite perspectives of Paul Cezanne.

Provence France follows in suit with the rhythms of the common Mediterranean climate in which seasons tend to change in abrupt succession. You will find that the rapid autumn rains of autumn quickly end the extensive heat of summer. Winters really tend to be mild in Provence France. The region gets the most rainfall in the spring which is around the same time that the plant life explodes into growth.

Part of the Province of Provence France is actually located in the northern part of the Sahara Desert which makes for brutally hot summers. The Province of Provence France would be completely Saharan without the Mediterranean. The Mediterranean is an inland sea that is extremely salt and almost tide less. The Algeria region can go without rain for periods of six months at a time while the Provence can go without rain for a period of three months at a time.

Rainforest Walk In Garajonay National Park

By Andy Hygate

The island of La Gomera, located some 40 miles West of Tenerife is an escapists dream. Unlike its bigger cousin there are no nightclubs or fancy bars but it offers the nature lover a diverse and spectacular landscape to explore.

Shaped like an orange squeezer with deep ravines and about 15 miles wide the island is home to the Garajonay National Park - a World Heritage Site http://reddeparquesnacionales.mma.es/parques/garajonay/index.htm .

The Park is located in the centre of the island which rises to 5000 ft above sea level and consists of Laurisilva - or Laurel rainforest. Much of Europe was once covered by this fauna but over time it was destroyed by climate change and pollution. Garajonay remains one of the few locations in the world where this type of forest still survives.

Once you have negotiated the hairpin bends on the way to the summit by bus the scenery is outstanding. A swirling mist may await but in the heat of the summer this is a blessed relief. Looking across to Tenerife, catch a last glimpse of Mount Teide rising magnificently into the blue sky as you descend into the twisted green forest.

The further you go the cooler and darker it gets, but the well flattened track is soft underfoot and easy to follow. Sleepy Hollow springs to mind as the fungus covered laurel reaches out. The contrast to the brown, baked, earth that surrounds this oasis is stark. These paths were created many years ago by locals who had to negotiate the forest in order to get from one side of the island to the other.

After an hour or so a stream is reached and the chance to replenish empty bottles. The lack of rain makes one wonder where the water comes from but the answer lies in the "horizontal" rain or mist that is soaked up by the forests vegetation.

After walking for an hour or so a stream is reached. This is derived from the moisture collected from horizontal rain or mist. A little further on the path opens to a settlement which contains a number of small holdings and a restaurant which servers local delicacies such as soup and Gofia (ground maize) to thicken it.

A short walk away you will find a secret tunnel that leads to the next valley. Make sure to light a candle as the passageway is long, dark and wet! A great way to round off your walk in Garajonay National Park.

Travel Tips For Successful Vacations With Children

By Francis Jacob

If you are planning a vacation with kids then each and every detail has to be perfectly planned. First step is deciding on what place to visit. Have a family discussion rather doing it alone. This will give an opportunity to meet the needs of all the family members. The place you select should be a fun to everyone. Search the net to identify the best family vacation spots like the Yellow Stone National Park. The U.S is one of the best families outing place. It is highly affordable. You can be involved in various activities like trekking; canoeing, camping and the bubbling geothermal mud spots offer great enthusiasm to children as well as adults. Select a place like this with numerous activities involved.

Next is mode of journey. If the place you are planning is near, it is best to go by drive. This will be full of fun. You can even stop and rest wherever you like. But if it is another country or too distant, consider the aspects of convenience and budget before making a decision. Do not try to be too stingy, be reasonable. Just to save a few dollars if you select an itinerary with great amount of waiting time between flights then your kids will be pissed off and become cranky especially if they are of very small age.

Major task is finding an accommodation. For example, if you have 4 kids, then you may have to book two rooms or find some connecting rooms which may not be possible at the last minute. Hence, make arrangements for accommodation months ahead. Another factor to be considered while making accommodation arrangements is the extent that the kids can enjoy at that place. If you book a room in the midst of a city, you will definitely enjoy doing all the shopping, visiting places but the kids won't. Select a place that is either near to a beach or an amusement park with a number of rides for the children to enjoy.

Some people who take long vacations with children suggest that renting a house is the best option that saves a good amount of money. While making hotel reservation know about the amenities they serve like a refrigerator may be a must for you to keep the baby bottles, if they have their own kitchen, so that it would be helpful if the kids feel hungry and if the hotel offers any dishes planned especially for children. Do not forget to check the reviews about the hospitality services of the hotel.

If you are traveling with kids have a first aid kit with you all the time, especially if your trip involves activities like trekking where the chances of injury are great. If your children have certain allergies do not forget to take care about it.

Have some ready to eat foods or fruits to meet the unexpected needs of the children. Obviously they are just kids and love to snack frequently.

Last note, plan perfectly to give your children a platform to explore themselves, have fun, learn new cultures, adventure they love to have and everything they wish to have.

Guide To Greece : Travel Information

By Damon Gallagher

In this part of our guide to holidays in Greece we focus on the basic tourist information that visitors should know...

Greece is located in Southern Europe and has extensive coastlines and islands in the Aegean, Ionian, and Mediterranean Seas. It offers a myriad of experiences, landscapes and activities and is famous for its beaches, reliable sunny summer weather, nightlife, historical sites and natural beauty.

It is one of the world's top 20 tourist destinations. This southern European country attracts more than 15 million visitors a year, 90% of which come from other parts of Europe (but increasingly, the proportion of visitors from other regions of the world has been growing).

Major destinations include Athens and the islands located off the Greek mainland (particularly Crete, Corfu and Rhodes). Some areas are very tourist orientated, but for those looking for a quieter time away, there are still many rewarding areas in the country free of large-scale tourism.

The great bulk of visitors arrive in the tourism season, which runs from April through October and peaks in July and August. In the off-season, the bulk of Greece's tourist infrastructure becomes dormant, particularly on the islands.

The majority of scheduled international flights go via Athens and Thessalonki. But in the tourism season, charter and low-budget flights flying from numerous European cities arrive daily at a range of popular island destinations and smaller mainland cities.

A valid passport is necessary to enter Greece. Citizens of some non-EU countries may also need to obtain a visa, but citizens of the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand can stay as long as 90 days without needing a visa.

It's considered a safe country to visit (in terms of occurrences of theft and violence against visitors) and no immunization vaccinations are required or advised prior to traveling there.

Travel Tips for Vacationing with Babies

By Amy Nutt

We all love to take time to get away from the stresses of life to enjoy a vacation. Many people think that if they have a baby or very young children, they can no longer take a vacation. Traveling with babies can be made much easier by planning and implementing measures that will make your vacation fun and relaxing.

A Last Escape Before Baby Makes Three

Vacationing when pregnant, or the babymoon, is a great way to enjoy the remaining time of life as a couple. Many couples decide to book a getaway to celebrate, relax and enjoy their last diaper-free break for a while. The best time to travel while pregnant is during the second trimester, weeks 14 to 27. By then, morning sickness should have abated, energy levels should be higher and you should be feeling "blooming". After that, while Canadian airlines will accept you for travel right up to the final weeks of your pregnancy, there's a good chance that you'll be keener to rest more than travel. Plus, there's a greater chance of premature labor in the final weeks.

When to Go: You'll want heat, but not too much heat, lots of comfort, good food and relaxation. Stick to familiar vacation spots - you'll need to feel confident that the food and environs will suit you. This is no time for surprises. Florida and the Caribbean are favoured destinations for a babymoon, but there are plenty of beautiful spots in our own backyard - Vancouver Island, Toronto and Ontario's West Coast, Quebec City, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia...

What to Wear: Your loosest clothes and lots of layers. Make sure there's plenty of space in your clothing in case junior undergoes a growth spurt. If you're visiting a sun spot take a heavy-duty sunscreen - mom-to-be skin can be extra sensitive. Pack too your favorite snacks and over-the-counter medicine. Don't forget your medical notes - just in case.

Traveling With Babies

Traveling with a baby can help him or her experience new environments and encourages family bonding. The following tips will help you have a better travel experience with your baby.

Location: Make sure you choose an appropriate destination for a baby. Research destinations by using the internet and traveler reviews. Family-orientated travel guides are useful. Babies will not enjoy too much heat or cold.

Enlist Baby Travel Services: There are online baby supply companies who will deliver changing, feeding, and bathing supplies your baby will need while away from home, to any worldwide travel destination. You can shop for all the supplies your baby will need for traveling without leaving your home.

Travel Assistance Insurance: Obtaining travel insurance will ensure that your baby will receive proper medical care in case of an illness or injury. Coverage should include the ability for flights home if treatment is required in the US.

Family Friendly Vacation: There are baby and toddler friendly resorts and hotels that cater to families. Make sure that where you stay has appropriate baby supplies such as a crib and highchair.

Allow Baby to Adjust to New Environment: Maintain a routine with familiar food, toys, and blanket. The baby should not receive too much stimulation within the first couple of days. They should rest and get use to the new environment.

Vacationing with babies can be a fun experience for parents. It is important to remember that it is a vacation, so adults should take time each day to relax. With a little planning and preparation, you and your baby will have a great vacation.

Purchasing Flights Is A Purchase That You Should Do Slowly And Surely Shouldn't Be Done On Impulse.

By Maisie J Matthews

A lot of people will be going on holiday this year and it's usually worth doing some research before you book anything. You could get yourself some great deals on your flights and hotel bookings.

If you don't do your research, it can be hard to find the deals that you need to save money. It's easier to just agree with your travel agent but it's more sensible to do your own research to find out what deals are available.

It can be hard to understand who has the best deals on the market. However, if you perform a little bit of price comparison with the deals you find then you should be able to save yourself some money which is never a bad thing!

As well as thinking about the prices you'll have to decide on a destination. This part is usually the easiest because all you have to do is head to a reviews website and read up on what people have been saying about the places you're interested in.

Once you have chosen a destination you'll then be able to do some thorough research in to the prices for that area. Most of the time, it's pretty easy to find what you're looking for but it can be worth spending a good few hours on your research just to make sure you get it right.

When you come to doing your price comparison all you have to do is search the web for the flights and holiday deals in the area you have chosen. Make a note of the prices at each site you look at and you should then have a range of prices which will help you decide on a budget.

Choosing your budget should be easy. Just make sure you are realistic and that you are willing to pay the average for the area you have chosen. It's easy to get over excited and end up over spending.

If you have done your research properly then choosing a budget should be easier for you. You'll be able to see what the average prices are and this will give you a good idea of how much you need to spend for your dream holiday.

When you're armed with all the information and you have a budget in mind you can then head to your local travel agent. It's completely normal to head into your travel agent to negotiate. Many people skip this step but it can be worth a huge saving.

If you're comfortable buying online then just select one of the deals you found. However, a lot of people don't like buying flights online and this is why you need to negotiate with your travel agent.

It's normally quite easy to get them to lower their prices to match something else you've found online. Flights are quite cheap at the moment so you should really do some research to find out where the best deals are.

Overall, finding flights for your holiday deal is easy - you just have to know where to look. As long as you do some research and ensure that your travel agent is negotiable then you should be able to save yourself quite a bit of money.

Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin Resort Hotels: A "Heavenly" Choice for Your Walt Disney World Vacation

By Nancy Bobby

Walt Disney World vacationers are familiar with some very recognizable icons of the Disney property. Traveling through the extensive resort and theme parks, you can't miss seeing Cinderella's Castle, Spaceship Earth at Epcot, or Hollywood Studio's Tower of Terror. But a couple of other distinctive landmarks rise from the Florida property owned by Disney, that are less well-known to visitors: the Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin resort hotels.

The Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin resorts are actually owned by Starwood, the parent company of the Sheraton and Westin hotels. However, they are on Disney property, and as such, there are a number of great benefits available to guests who stay there. The first is the convenient location: the Swan and Dolphin are just a short walk or boat ride from both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. And that is just the beginning of a host of other great benefits.

The buildings are stunning architecturally, as are the lovely interiors and grounds. Designed by award-winning architect Michael Graves, the two properties offer beautiful decor, a fantastic shared pool complex, and multiple high-end amenities and facilities that rival any of the deluxe Disney-owned properties.

In addition, there are a number of full-service restaurants and lounges, in all price ranges, tastes, and styles.

A major benefit for Swan and Dolphin guests is to be able to enjoy several Disney resort privileges. Close proximity to two of the four parks, and free use of Disney resort transportation have already been discussed. Swan and Dolphin guests also receive the opportunity to attend the Disney parks Extra Magic Hours, can have get package delivery from the theme parks to their hotel, and also receive free parking at the theme parks.

And then there are the beds. If you have ever stayed at any Westin property, you may be familiar with the "Heavenly Beds", each of which include a pillow top mattress, triple sheets, down blanket and comforter, and goose down/feather pillows. Let me just say that after a long day at the Disney parks, relaxing in one of the Swan or Dolphin's Heavenly Beds is just heavenly!

While the Swan and Dolphin are considered "deluxe" resorts, since they are not truly Disney properties, their prices are usually less than any of the comparable Disney resorts. And if you are a Florida resident, senior citizen, government employee, member of the military, nurse, or teacher, you may very well qualify for a discount!

Discover the Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin resort on your next Disney vacation. With a great location, a host of superb benefits, a lovely property, Disney guest perks, and a great value, you will not be disappointed in what you find.

Why They Offer Last-Minute Deal?

By Ryan Angus

Last-minute deals are good deals for you, for sure. You get what you want at cheaper price and you can save more for leisure use during the vacation. But why are travel agencies, airline companies, and hotels offer last-minute deals? You might to see deeper inside to find out.

1. Airline companies. They offer last-minute deals because there are vacant seats. Airlines are dominated by fixed costs, which mean their variable costs are relatively low compared to fixed costs. You can think of fixed cost as simply cost that doesnt change with level of sales, while variable cost does change with level of sales. Whether the seats are full or not, airlines companies still have to pay the fixed costs. They are such as: salaries of pilot and flight crews, fuel, gate/ticket takers, baggage handlers, airport charges, landing charges, maintenance cost, depreciation, and advertising cost. These costs are there, whether the seats are full or not. Therefore, full seats in every flight are really important to get more revenue and cover the costs. Fixed cost can be covered by quantity only. Any canceled book or empty seat in last minutes will better be offered at lower price to get the seat filled.

2. Hotels. The case is similar to airline companies. Hotels have rooms that are already there, bell-boys, receptionists, maintenance cost, depreciation cost, laundry facility, restaurant, swimming pool, TV-cable and Internet access, etc. Whether the rooms are fully employed or nor, the costs will still incur. Travelers who have booked but then canceled are lost revenues. Since theyre last minutes, there is small opportunity to offer the canceled or empty room at normal price. So rather than leaving it vacant, hotels will preferably offer at lower rate to travelers who are willing to stay there.

3. Travel agencies. Its more understandable at travel agencies. Canceled book will make the commission or profit goes away. So they make up the price to attract other travelers. This is not hard since airlines and hotels will likely to lower their prices as well.

So now you get it. Last-minute deals are mutual benefits for you and every stakeholder in the industry. Canceled/empty seats or hotel rooms are unavoidable risk in the business. By offering last-minute deal, they get part of the risk covered. You can search for last-minutes deal at some online database sites. Its now easier to find such deals; their popularity has increased over time.

People often ask which Anglesey beach would be the best one to visit when they come for a vacation on the island. This is such a difficult question as there are many excellent beaches on this sunny, green island off North Wales, which has a natural asset of 125 miles of outstandingly beautiful coastline. A number of local beaches are regularly awarded the prestigious European Blue Flag and Resort Seaside Awards for quality water and environmental management.

Often the most difficult to reach beaches turn out to be those most special to the visitor as the challenge of reaching the destination is part of the overall excitement. Llanddona beach is on the east side of the island, and is at the bottom of a steep, winding, narrow lane. A magnificent sweeping sandy bay which arcs northwards towards Benllech, the visitor descends among terraces of lush green vegetation. This location also carries the legend of Llanddona witches and recently a large haul of silver coins was discovered on the beach by some amateur beachcombers.

On the south east, visitors will discover a special Anglesey beach at Llanddwyn which is reached by an exciting walk through a massive conifer forest at Newborough, where a few red squirrels can still be seen. Near the Blue Flag Llanddwyn beach is a rocky outcrop with an old lighthouse and ruins of a Christian church, and this is where Demi Moore filmed some scenes from her film, Half Light. This location is truly magical on a fine sunny day in your swimsuit in summer or your woolly sweater and jeans in winter.

A visitor on an island beach may notice bright orange life rings placed at strategic points which are there to ensure that in an emergency someone in danger of drowning in the sea can be assisted. Anyone seeing a life ring damaged needs to call the local council immediately. Just think that in 2008, thirty eight people lost their lives off the island coast when in difficulty.

You will find a fascinating Blue Flag Anglesey beach on the west coast at Church Bay, nestled below the high cliffs which carry the coastal path and popular with swimmers. This spot is also seems to attract canoeists and kayak fans, as they set off along the coast or perhaps further to Skerries Rock lighthouse. Getting here is a pleasant drive or cycle through narrow, sweeping country lanes, with wild flowers rioting down the road side. Nearby is a restaurant specialising in seafood.

Holy Island is a smaller island in the south west, reached by two causeways, where you will discover two Blue Flag beaches at Trearddur Bay and Porth Dafarch. There is an interesting Celtic cross at Trearddur laid to commemorate the Millennium. If you are taking dogs remember that these two beaches have a dog free zone, which operates from May to September.

Some thoughts about what to do and not to do when you are on an Anglesey beach: it is not advisable to go out to sea in an inflatable dinghy, especially if the wind is offshore. Eating a large meal before swimming is not a good idea, and remember beach wardens are on hand to answer your questions. Do drink plenty of non-alcoholic fluids in hot, sunny weather to avoid dehydration, and dont leave pets in parked cars in hot weather.

Some folks look forward to leisurely walks along the coastal path, and watching beautiful sunsets, while others are keen to test their skills in various adventure sports like sailing, diving, coasteering, surfing and kayaking. For everyone, however, it is likely that you will always treasure something special about your time on an Anglesey beach.

Getting Flights Is A Purchase That You Should Do Slowly And Certainly Shouldn't Be Rushed.

If you want to go on holiday but you have no idea where to go then you'll need to do a little bit of research to find a place that's right for your needs. Head to some reviews websites and read about locations to find somewhere that you like the sound of.

Choosing a destination is usually the easy part. The next step is to find the prices for that area and do your price comparison. It's pretty easy to do this but you may need to spend a while at your PC to find all the best deals available.

As I said earlier, you will need to do some price comparison to make sure that you get yourself the best deals. The easiest way to do this is to head to a few of the online booking websites and find the flights and holiday deal that you want. Make a note of the price and move onto the next site.

Choosing your budget should be easy. Just make sure you are realistic and that you are willing to pay the average for the area you have chosen. It's easy to get over excited and end up over spending.

Selecting a budget can be hard but what you have just done should give you an idea about the prices of flights to your favourite destination. This will allow you to see the extreme prices as well as the bargain prices so you can budget accordingly.

The next step is to take all this information into your travel agent and try to negotiate a better deal with them. It's easier to negotiate with a human face to face so this shouldn't be too hard. It can save you a great deal of money if you manage to get them to lower their prices.

All in all, finding cheap flights is easier than you think but doing your research is essential to get yourself the best deal. You could end up saving a lot of money so it's totally worth it.

How Online Travel Agents Can Save You Time And Money

By Niall Hughes

Have you ever wondered if what you know about travel agent jobs is accurate? Consider the following paragraphs and compare what you know to the latest info on travel agents.

Use an independent travel agent who is able to search through holidays from all of the other travel agents, tour operators, airlines and accommodation providers to bring you the best deal you can find. The purpose of an online supermarket-style travel agent is to reflect the convenience and value-for-money of the high street equivalent. What that means for you is that you can search and compare prices on package holidays, flights, accommodation and more, from an enormous range of well-known brands, all within one convenient website. The fallout from these phenomena is that many brick and mortar travel agencies are going out of business, even as more people are travelling than ever before.

Online travel agents put you in control, allowing you to customize your reservations down to the smallest detail. The airlines allow the different online travel agents to have codes that they can use in their own systems to help identify the special pricing or the promotion being used. Not anymore with online travel agents! In many cases, unsold seats on flights or unsold rooms in hotels are offered to travel agents a few weeks before departure date at considerably discounted rates so they can be sold immediately.

It seems like new information is discovered about something every day. And the topic of travel agent jobs is no exception. Keep reading to get more fresh news about travel agents.

Online travel agents are also available on internet that gives you the facility to get travel services at very many affordable rates. Online travel airline booking is also very much useful. Find a suitable place where you can start your search for online travel agents. Online travel agents can take the opportunity to sell more products such as travel insurance, car rental and accommodation.

Search anything related to family travel flights including free travel insurance tips , airfares , airlines , tickets , maps and international weather reports from top travel agency internet sites . Looking for the latest coach tours to secure a great deal on group bookings and holiday travels. So this now begs the question a little; should the airlines still be able to sell the insurance as part of the airfare? The way in which this is currently sold is as an opt-out.

Whether you're trying to find winter sun or want to have an adventure in a distant land, you'll find lots of choice in the online guide to travel agents in Wigan. All the information you need about travel Agents in Wigan should be on this, or the following pages. By Deb Schwabe

North Carolina is home to beautiful scenery, some of it the most incredible in the United States and the Outer Banks is the best example of this. This is a two hundred mile range of barrier islands that stands between the open sea and the coast of North Carolina.

There is a feeling as if time has stood still in these islands. The fact that they are located right next to the bustling coast of the world's most powerful country is all but forgotten when you visit these islands. You will feel as if you have somehow wandered through time to find a place that is definitely more restful than what we are used to these days.

One should definitely consider these islands for their next holiday and this time of year is just perfect for a great summer holiday. This is true not only for family vacations, those wanting to plan a romantic sojourn will also find that all of their needs can be catered to by these islands.

The islands are well known for the light houses that adorn their coast lines. There are five main ones to visit and some tour guides specialize in taking visitors to all of these sites. They are able to give one the history of the light house and also explain the manner in which it is used today. The fact that these are still being used actively today, in spite of technological advances, is testimony to the feeling that one is stuck in a time gone past.

If you are looking for something slightly more active you will be glad to know that there are also many sporting activities available. Try out some of the water sports such as jet skiing, surfing and sailing. If you are an avid fisherman, you will enjoy the angling that the islands have to offer. Hiring a boat is also possible and this also gives a great view of the different islands.

The variety continues with the fact that visitors can also enjoy a rich arts experience. Summer concerts are put on every week with philharmonic orchestras and popular bands there to entertain. In addition to this, art lovers will be thrilled to hear that there are several galleries that one is able to visit. For those who view cooking as an art form, you can improve your skills with a cooking class that are on offer.

Visitors will be spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding on what to do with one's holidays. The above mentioned are only but a few of those available. The Outer Banks will provide the ideal destination for a summer holiday and the fact that one is relatively close to home means that the expense will be a lot less as well.

Top Tips for Tinkerbell Fancy Dress

By Jeana Fillmore

Tinkerbell fancy dress is always really popular with grown women and little girls as well. Tinkerbell costumes are fun and full of fairy magic and childhood dreams of wings and wands.

Tinkerbell costumes are so popular because of the story of Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie and all the movies that have been made of it, such as the 2003 movie called Peter Pan.

Tinkerbell is a tinker fairy, which means she makes and mends things, and she leaves a trail of fairy dust wherever she goes. She is sometimes bad-tempered and sometimes she is sweet and helpful to Peter Pan. The extremes in her personality are explained in the original novel by the fact that a fairy is so small that she can't experience more than one feeling at a time.

These character traits make some fantastic costume ideas, as you can either dress as a sweet Tinkerbell or a grumpy Tinkerbell.

If you prefer to dress up as the sweet, happy fairy Tinkerbell then your costume should consist of a short, lime green dress with matching fairy wings and some fairy dust to throw around. Just get some glitter or silver sparkle decorations for this.

There are lots of Tinkerbell costumes available to buy but if you prefer to make your own there are lots of fairy wings available to buy. You can buy them online and they make a great addition to a home-made costume.

If you prefer to be the grumpy, mean Tinkerbell the obvious colours to wear are black or grey. This kind of anti-Tinkerbell costume is perfect for Halloween, and to make your own you should wear a black little dress and accessorise with some dark fairy wings.

The choices are wide but if you want the best Tinkerbell fancy dress costume at the party be sure to look around and spend as much money on a costume as your budget allows. Do some research, get some pictures of Tinkerbell and make sure you look the part to indulge your fairy fantasies.

Driving Laws And Legal Defence

By Christos Chalfont

Should you ever be accused of breaking road laws, you will undoubtedly want to get the very best in legal representation. The right representation can be fairly expensive, but the chances are that you will in effect be paying a bit more to keep you license, so it's got to be worth that extra bit. However should your case be successful, a lot of law firms will claim any costs back from their opponents, so as far as you're concerned it will have been a free service.

There are plenty of lawyers that would jump at the chance to represent you during the court hearing, but you need to decide who is going to be the best at it.

Well, you could always go for the cheapest option. But for something as serious as a legal accusation, that may not be the best way to choose. Thank goodness for the vast, one-stop, modern day encyclopedia that is the Internet.

All it will take is a little bit of time to visit a few law-firm websites and decide which ones have all the experience and knowledge you need them to have to defend you effectively.

Ideally, you would want a firm that specialises in road traffic law to represent you. Firms that dabble around in all areas of the law are never as knowledgeable in a particular field as a specialist.

Try to find out a bit about the lawyers working for the firm. You should be sure that they are extremely qualified and experienced before asking them to represent you. Something else to look out for on the websites is testimonials from previous clients. If you can find some that actually say something about how the firm operates and that aren't simply saying "they are excellent"(as this is all most testimonials will say), then comparing them should prove useful.

There are a few myths being spread around about loopholes in road traffic laws that simply aren't true. People seem to be making up their own defence cases whether they are legally viable or not. You should look for a section about Internet myths on a road law web site, to show that they really are up to date and know what they are talking about.

You should feel confident about the choice you've made once all this research has been carried out because you should have chosen the best possible candidate to represent you.

The Province of Bihar

By Ranju Bhusan

Bihar is a state in the northern side of India. The state of Bihar is situated in the Southern side of Nepal. On the west lies another Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and in the east there is West Bengal. Bihar is considered as the Hindi heartland of India. Here the Buddha delivered his very first speeches and achieved nirvana.

The capital of Bihar is Patna. The city of Patna lies on the junction of 3 major rivers of which one is the river Ganges. Lord Buddha once said that this city Patna, then called Patliputra will face 3 major issues.

The Buddha is thought to have said that Patna the then Patlipurtra will face 3 difficult situations in terms of facing fire, political unrest and flood. Today, Patna indeed suffers from outbursts of fire, flood and political unrest.

The state of Bihar was named as Magadha in its ancient times. Its very first major ruler was called Ashoka the Great. The spread of Buddhism in Sri Lanka and the Far East is credited to this great ruler.

It is said that he directed his numerous sons to several regions of the Earth as missionaries. The empire of Ashoka fans out from the east of India to the Persian Empire. It is said that he fell short of occupying the Persian Empire merely because the ruler had a matrimonial alliance to the king of Persia.

Anyone interested in ancient history and the Buddhist religion, a trip to Bihar should be worthwhile. The old city of Bodh Gaya of Bihar has the most important grounds of the Buddhist religion.

Here grows the Bodhi tree, where Buddha attained enlightenment. Most Buddhism countries and sects of the world have set of temples in the holy town of Bodh Gaya. The city of Bodh Gaya can be reached by either flying or taking a train to Patna and then taking the road or train to Bodh Gaya. A trip to the town of Godh Gaya is revelation.

Travel Tips For Denmark

By Graham McKenzie

Denmark is the smallest of the Scandinavian countries, and consists of the Jutland peninsula and over 400 islands. In this land of peace and tranquility, it is difficult to imagine Denmark once spawned the formidable, seafaring Vikings.

With a plethora of picturesque villages, castles, ring forts, monuments, sandy beaches, coves and fjords, Denmark offers exciting tourist options. The best time to visit this remarkably beautiful country is August, however, you can plan to vacation anytime from April through October, and generally see nice weather and longer days.

Denmark's capital, Copenhagen, is located on the islands of Zealand and Amager. Known as the city of copper roofs and spires, Copenhagen was founded in 1167. With its beloved Little Mermaid at the harbor entrance, this cobblestoned city is filled with old buildings, parks, gardens, fountains and squares. You will also find the world famous amusement park, Tivoli. It is open from late April to mid-September. In addition, tourists will enjoy many superlative eateries and shopping opportunities. There is even an inexpensive train network to help visitors get around the city.

Visitors can find a number of organized tours in Copenhagen. To name just a few, there is the Vikingland Tour, which takes you to the Viking Ship Museum, and the Royal Tour, which goes to the Christianborg Palace. Another popular tour is the famous Carlsberg brewery.

Despite the fascinating adventures offered by its capital city, Denmark has a wealth of tourist delights. At Aalborg, visitors will find one of the biggest Viking burial grounds, along with the largest Renaissance buildings in Denmark. At ?rhus, a collection of sixty-plus 17th and 18th century buildings, gathered from all over Denmark, have been recreated and set onto a beautiful landscaped.

The 'Garden of Denmark', Funen, is another must-see on any itinerary. Here visitors will find some of Denmark's most delightful countryside, not to mention castles, churches and manors, all set in ancient parks and gardens. Odense, which is the main city of Funen, was named after the Norse god Oden. It is the third largest city in Denmark and has often been called the 'Capital of Fairytales'. It is also the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875), and every July and August, Odense has a festival to celebrate his works. Visitors can tour his childhood home and the Hans Christian Andersen Museum. Another recent attraction in Funen is the Naturama. Opened in 2005, it offers tourists three levels of multimedia, natural history displays.

A trip to Lolland is always worthwhile. It is here that visitors will find Denmark's largest park, Knuthenborg Park. Not only does it sport over 500 species of trees, flowers and plants, Knuthenborg also has a safari park. Denmark's largest castle ruin, Hammershus, built in 1260, can be seen at Bornholm, and at Elsinore, visitors will find the old fortress of Kronborg. Not only is Kronborg one of the most arresting structures in Scandinavia, it was the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet.

Include An Australian City As Part Of Your Trip

By Jennifer Schellington

So, you've decided to come to Australia and want to visit at least one Australian City. Of course you could go with Sydney or Melbourne. But will they be the best ones for you?

Scratch a little under the surface of our cities and you will find that they are in fact very different. Yes, they may have the same looking sky scrapers and US grid system, but really they are as different as chalk and cheese.

You have to visit Sydney. It's my home town so I am slightly biased! The harbour area with the Opera House, Bridge and the Rocks are hard to beat. To get the best view though, get on the ferry to Manly and gaze back at the harbour. It's not all about the views though. You can visit interesting suburbs, sunbathe on its glorious beaches and shop in the boutique shops of Paddington.

Melbourne might not have the Sydney Harbour but it does have other charms. Exploring the lanes between the large buildings, are like Aladdin's Caves. They are totally different and intriguing. It's much more bohemian and European here in Melbourne with a real cafe culture. Some argue the food is better than Sydney. It's debatable but for sure, it's cheaper.

If you are into wine, then put Adelaide at the top of your Australian Cities list. Here you can access 3 great wine regions very easily. They are all within an hour or so of the centre of Adelaide. If you like your red wine to be BIG, then the Barossa Valley is the place for you. Best bit of advice I can give you, is don't stay in the centre of Adelaide, stay in the seaside town of Glenelg instead which is just outside the city.

The Western Coast of Australia is less visited than the East. I think it's the extra flying time that puts people off. If you want stunning scenery away from the tourists than head west to Perth. It is much quieter than the other Australian Cities but has lots to offer. Once the office workers go home, the centre can get very quiet so stay in Fremantle for more vibrancy. There's also some spectacular beaches to explore, my favourite being Cottesloe.

Fancy a bit of Aboriginal Culture? Then head north to Darwin where you will find it in abundance. Visit in the dry season, between May and October, to get the most out of this area. Outside of these months it can be way too hot and very rainy. The best places to head to are Kakadu National Park and the Tiwi Islands, both a drive from Darwin.

If a road trip is what you are after than take the trip from Sydney up to Noosa on the East Coast Road via Brisbane. The gateway to some spectacular places such as the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, Brisbane itself offers every traveler something special.

Whichever of the Australian Cities you choose, you won't be disappointed.

Keep Your Relationship Fresh With Variety

By Chris Linch

If I can make a suggestion if you have been dating someone for a bit you really must plan a get away journey. You see, in relationships so many things develop into routine. Maybe you go to dinner numerous times, then soon you are in a Friday night dinner habit. Maybe you go to a movie once a month, but soon you are in the movie once a month habit.

The main thing that keeps a relationship appealing is diversity. People actually need variety. Do you know that variety is something that literally scares people? It is, but yet well all still want some sort of variety in our life. If you don't supply that variety you are not satisfying your partners basic wishes.

So what do you do to make this trip meaningful?

Well the first thing you have to do is find someplace to go that differs from where you are. There is no reason to travel to some destination to do the same things you do at home. You want to go someplace that really knocks the socks off your mate or date. Now let me say this, it doesn't have to be a trip to Italy or to Paris, but if you can afford it that would be truly pleasant.

Las Vegas is a great destination, just don't go there anticipating marriage, unless that's part of the gig. A beach is always a terrific destination, you can look at places like Clearwater Florida which is wonderful, or you can go to Cocoa Beach. If you are close to an airport that has Allegiant airlines you can usually book flight to these places cheap.

There may be some other place that your significant other has always wanted to go. One fun variety type thing you can do is take your date to an amusement park. They are usually relatively close all over the country. Take them on some roller coasters and really feed that thrill, variety bone.

If anything just look someplace a few hours away that has something for you to do, even if it is going shopping. For instance Mall of America. If you want the best trip ever just pack your stuff and go, don't make an agenda. This really feeds the need for us to be spontaneous, even if you are not a spontaneous person!

European River Travel: Hot To Make The Most Of Your Trip

By Samson Mandez

Have you been thinking about traveling in Europe? Don't' forget to include river travel in the various options that you should look at. Not doing so would be a shame as you would be missing out on one of the most pleasant and surprising ways to discover the continent.

There are probably few ways to visit a country which are as cool and pleasant as river travel, and whether you will be traveling alone, with friends, or together with your spouse and kinds, it will probably be a trip to remember.

Compared to seaborne cruising, there is much more inland territory you can cover on a river trip, and compared to car-borne holidays you won't have to experience the discomfort of constant hotel changes. Plus who has ever heard of a river traffic gridlock?

Also, don't think that riverboats are devoid of comfort just because they are smaller then seagoing vessels. You will find that the rooms are functional but spacious, and that your cruise boat will also feature comfortable common areas such as eating and lounging spaces, as well as viewing spaces to soak in the scenery, of course.

There are many European river travel companies that you can go with, but the most important initial part is to decide on the length of the trip that you want to make, on the location and on the kind of comfort. just make sure that you begin with these details so that you can then relax and plan out the trip.

As for the length, you can find anything from three day cruised to break up a longer holiday to leisurely four week trips down major rivers such as the Danube. One or two weeks are pretty standard lengths.

There are several great locations that you can choose from. Major countries for European river travel are Austria-Hungary-Romania (Danube river), Germany (Rhine, Elbe, and their tributaries), Holland (Rhine delta), France (Seine and Rhone), Spain-Portugal (Douro), Italy (Po and the Venice laguna) and Russia (Volga and the lakes around Petrograd)

Make sure that you also choose the season well. Areas such as the South of France and the Netherlands are more suited to a trip in the warmer months, due to the bloom in vegetation that you will experience.

During the holidays in the winter, on either a Rhine river cruise or a Danube river cruise you could stop and walk through the renowned Christmas Markets of Germany and Austria.

As for the price level of the trip, you will find many alternatives, going from fully inclusive, escorted luxury trips from basic "from A to B" travel catering specifically to younger travelers. There are options for all tastes, and for all budgets.

Greece : A Typical Mediterranean Climate

By Steven Carragher

In this installment of our guide to holidays in Greece we look at Greece's climate...

Greece has a normal Mediterranean climate in that it generally enjoys long warm summers and short mild winters.

But despite the country's relatively small size, there are regional variations; Greece's northern mountains, southern islands and central mainland having slightly different climates.

From April until November, all over Greece is hot and dry and enjoys near-constant sunshine. Sporadic rains do occur during the dry season, but they tend to be rare, quick showers. The most pleasant weather occurs in May-June and September-October, with the warmest time of the year being from mid-July and to mid-August. Temperatures average at around 35 degrees during this period and heatwaves can occur. If visiting at this time of year, it's advisable to try and stay out of the sun from 11am-4pm when the suns rays are at their strongest.

The rest of the year is marked by a cool, rainy season that usually starts in November and lasts until late March or early April. The bulk of the rain falls from December to April, when it rains on about a third of the days in each month. \In northern Greece, this rain can be heavy enough to cause flooding and the winters are cold enough for snowfalls to be relatively common.

The summer months are the peak season and attract the most tourists but, for visitors from northerly climates, the off-season from November through February can be a rewarding time to see Greece, especially the southern Aegean and parts of the southeastern mainland, which are the driest parts of the country. It will not be beach weather, but temperatures are mild, prices are reduced, and the number of other tourists will be significantly fewer.

Main Attractions of New York City

By Amy Nutt

For many people, New York is like the most important or fun place to be. Because of its metropolitan nature, New York is where most suburban dwellers want to go visiting. Besides this, it is also a hub of business activities as you have the famed Wall Street located there, and the twin towers. Recent estimates have shown that New York generates more than some third world countries budget per year. It also has the highest number of skyscrapers concentrated in one territory.

Often dubbed an 'urban jungle', it is home to more than 20 million people and amazingly, the metropolitan state seems to have more room for visitors, business executives, vacationers and tourists. New York City has a lot of attractions. In fact, it is said that you could spend three years in New York doing nothing except sightseeing and still not see every vacation spot or attraction sites. Some of New Yorks main attractions are partly responsible for its global popularity and these include:

1. Statue of Liberty This statue represents or symbolizes democracy in the modern world. According to history, the statue signified hope for the immigrants who crossed through Ellis Island. A gift from the French government over a hundred years ago, it was meant to signify freedom which America stands for. Sculpted by the Frdric-Auguste Bartholdi, the steel Framework was built by the creator of the Eiffel tower, Gustav Eiffel and is about 305 ft altogether. To get to the top of the statue, a visitor would have to climb three hundred and fifty four steps. Tourists interested in getting into the monument can purchase one time tickets.

2. Empire State Building The empire state building is possibly the most popular building in New York. Once called the tallest building in the world -it is about one thousand, two hundred and fifty feet high -and named the 8th wonder of the world, many say it signifies or represents what was meant to be carried out when man decided to build the tower of Babel. The empire state building became extremely popular after the movie King Kong was shot in 1933. At the time, it was dubbed the tallest building. However, the mystery surrounding it still counts for visits from over two million visitors annually.

3. Central Park This major tourist centre occupies three hundred and forty one hectares of land is synonymous with its name in its location at the centre of Manhattan. Located between 5th and 8th avenue, central park consists of ice rinks for those who want to skate, theatres, baseball fields, fountains, lakes, a Zoo, a museum, tennis courts and a host of facilities. And the best part of central park is access to it is free of charge. A must see as part of a New York City vacation package.

4. Fifth Avenue For those who love shopping, 5th Ave is an awesome place to be. Located between the 49th and 59th streets, its like a concentration of designer stores such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Ferragamo, Prada and Versace. If you are looking for jewelleries, you will find Bulgari shops, Cartier and a host of other jewellers.

How is the Shereton City Center in St. Louis?

By Chris Linch

The Sheraton City Center is situated downtown in St. Louis, MO. It is a terrific place for a hotel. The hotel also features an massive pool as well as a sun deck where you can chill out on the top floor and go outside. The staff is extremely friendly and they also have a lounge and some restaurants.

First of all, the location. You couldn't find a better place to stay if you are wanting to stay down town St. Louis. This hotel is close to Union Station, which is an old rail station made into a shopping center. They have the Hard Rock Caf there as well as Landry's seafood. You are also within walking distance of Busch Stadium. If you are the gambling type the casino has a shuttle that will pick you up at the hotel.

The pool in this hotel is like none I have ever seen. They have an Olympic size pool on the 13th floor. This pool is huge. They also have a hot tub there. It is the largest indoor swimming pool I have seen in a hotel in a lengthy time, and I stay in a great deal of hotels.

The sun deck is an outside deck that has a view of downtown. It is also located on the 13th floor just outside the indoor pool. We sat up here and had a few drinks. It was such a relaxing area to go have a drink. We got to meet some really neat people out there while we were there.

The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Honestly for the price I figured this would be a run of the mill, nicer hotel. This was not the case. I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel in Las Vegas. They treated you very well, and on top of that they were very knowledgeable about the area.

The Sheraton City center also has a bar that is open until one in the morning which is also unusual. Most hotel bars close very early. This was also a very nice bar, they had couches and nice tables. They also served food there which was excellent.

There is also a coffee shop and a bistro type sandwich shop if you are on the run. The coffee shop serves Starbuck's coffee. They also have some breakfast items and fruit which I did not get. There is plenty of room in this hotel for a wedding and or wedding reception.

If you need to stay downtown St. Louis Missouri I recommend the Sheraton City Center.

Now is the Time to Book Air Tickets

By Chris Linch

After many months of downhill airfare many people decided just to postpone booking. There are several indicators, nevertheless, that show that the prices of airline tickets may have bottomed and are back on the climb. Recently fare comparison sites have reported hikes from ten to twenty dollars.

Since July 4 is has past fuel prices are again rising as a result of enlarged demand. Also since the economy is showing less signs of fading people are starting to gain confidence which also drives prices.

The fact is if you have been on the fence about booking airline tickets for the reason that you have been wondering if the prices would continue to go lower, it looks like it is time to move on. If you do not book soon, it is possible to see sizeable price increases in airfares.

As of right now the fares have not increased in a means that would not still make it a steal of a deal to get an airline ticket. The point of this note is to let you know that it is promising that right now is the cheapest time you can book a flight.

We are still seeing incredibly low rates on hotels. The fact is that many hotel chains have cut prices to raise occupancy. Now is the time to book a trip, not looking for the cheapest rate, but the best deal. Find a nice hotel that you could never stay in, and you can book it for what you would normally spend on your alternate property.

Usually the best time to book travel is prior to Memorial day, but at this time because of the economy we have had a bit of an extension to this timeframe. The extension is up, however, in our opinion, and if you dont book now, you may pay more or miss your trip.

European Travel : Where To Stay In Paris

By Paul Christian

Paris is a city well-known around the globe for, amongst other things, it's history and style, and, for those reasons, it attracts millions of visitors each year who want to stay there and experience it. Where to stay in Paris is a difficult question to answer, as there is such a variety of excellent places there from which you can choose.

Probably the best way to begin to choose is to decide what district you would prefer to be in. With twenty different districts, it may be a good idea to narrow your search to the left or right bank in order to keep your search short. Next, bring it down to districts founded on the inn or hotel which suits you the best in a particular district.

The right and left banks refer to the right and left side of the Seine River which flows through central Paris roughly dividing it in half. The Seine flows to the west, so "the left bank" usually refers to the southern portion of the city, and "the right bank" to the northern half.

Knowing this route will be helpful when you are trying to figure out where to stay in Paris. You will learn that although both banks are within the heart of Paris, both are uniquely different from one another in character and the cultural respect.

If you are interested in fashion, art and the Bohemian way of life, you would do well on the left bank. It features many historical sites, interesting architecture and is the heart of Parisian popular culture. There are lots of bed and breakfasts, inns, and hotels that are interesting, at some very reasonable prices for Paris.

The right bank is where the elegance and class of Paris is found. It is also the business district where you will find the Champs Elysees and the L'Arc de Triomphe. Many people consider the left bank to be more metropolitan, with beautiful architecture ranging from classical to post-modern.

Expert Answers To Travel Questions Number 1

By Chris Linch

Question 1:

I have been wanting to take a family holiday, but I am on a narrow budget, what do you propose we do to get away, but save money?

Answer 1:

Well there are a mixture of things you can do. Try booking a hotel that has a kitchen in the room so that you can cook there, save money on dining out. You can also go to less expensive destinations. Try a theme park like Six Flags or Branson Missouris Silver Dollar City as opposed to the more pricey Disney World. Travel by car, if possible. Honest, best solution, rough it and go camping. Take a camping road trip, you can stay in many cities for the price of a tent and a plot fee.

Question 2:

I have been thinking about booking a flight for my retreat, but the prices keep on plummeting when is the best time to book?

Answer 2:

Normally the greatest time to book flights is prior to Memorial Day, but the good news in 2009 is that you can in reality still save a lot of funds if you book before the end of July. It appears that on or about August 1, we are going to start seeing increases in airfare as shopper confidence rises thus raising fuel prices. Simple answer the sooner the better, prices have bottomed.

Question 3:

There are so many travel sites out there offering the best deal, but they all seem alike, who is the best to book with?

Answer 3:

The one that offers the low price assurance. Thats right, it doesnt matter, you can book with any of them if they offer low price promise. Then if you do find a lower rate you can ask them to match it. A word of warning though, watch the fine print. Some only offer this for the first 24 hours. The best I have seen, and the one we offer at our site, will match the rate up until the cancellation deadline. These are the best sites to book with because you can rest assured you will get the lowest rate.

Question 4:

I booked a non refundable reservation, but my plans have changed, how do I cancel it?

Answer 4:

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but most properties are very strict on these when it comes to hotels, and airlines have no exceptions. If you are talking about a hotel the best you are going to be able to do is perhaps reschedule. Some hotels will let you move the dates, very few will refund. As for airlines, you are going to be out their change fee, but you get a credit for the amount of the flight minus the change fee for future travel. If you want my advice, change your plans back.

Guide To Greece : Getting Around The Country

By Jennie Plant

In this installment of our guide to holidays in Greece we look at the transportation on offer there...

Consider hiring a car or moped in Greece - all you will need is a passport and an internationally recognized driving license. This is a cost-effective option that will give you the freedom to travel wherever you wish. Prices start at roughly $15 a day for a moped and $40 a day for a car, but be careful to ensure that the price you agree to includes all taxes and insurance. While most roads are in good condition, take extra care driving on the islands or in the countryside as some rural roads can be badly maintained and narrow.

The bus system is very efficient and you can travel anywhere on the Greek mainland on the 'KTEL' (intercity) buses. It's great value for money and lets you travel through parts of Greece that you would otherwise never get to see. The bus system was never created to accommodate tourists though so you might encounter some language problems; if you do, most young people in Greece speak a little English and most would be more than happy to assist you.

Taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced; all are required to have a meter and you're not expected to leave a tip. In the cities and on the islands, most drivers will speak a little English, but not all will. It's also worth noting that it's common for them to continue to pick up passengers until they're full so you can still try to flag a taxi that already has passengers so long as they're heading in the same direction that you want to go.

To travel to and from the islands, you'll have to take a ferry or a short flight. Many of the more distant islands have airports and can be flown to from Athens or Thessaloniki - distances within Greece are small, so even the farthest islands are less than an hour's flight.

Ferries are the best option for islands near the mainland. These boats run regularly throughout the day, but trips may be more leisurely than you expect as the ferries can making stop at several islands before reaching their final destination.

Costa Blanca is The Property Of The Province of Alicante,

By Rob Carlton

Affordable holiday fun in the Costa Blanca Sun and fun in the Mediterranean Sea is synonymous to the Costa Blanca, the Spanish coastal area. The Costa Blanca is considered the property of the Province of Alicante, beginning with the town of Denia and winding up in Pilar de la Horadada or Torrevieja, as the last significant town in the province.

The coastline from here becomes more picturesque than ever and if you are driving, you'll want to keep your camera at hand. It's considered inside the district of Valencia. Examining some of these incredible vacation spots more discreetly, each villa is considered to be someone's favorite, as it has something extraordinary that will tickle your fancy!

For those visitors to Costa Blanca with rental cars highway A7 links Javea throughout Europe with exit ramps at Ondara and Benissa. The latter is located near the milestone mountain peak Montgo. Javea is found on the east Iberian Peninsula about 90 km from Alicante and a little over 100 km from Valencia City. These two cities in Spain each have international metropolitan airports that make your journey very easy.

Javea has an abundant wealthy, natural landscape. It also possesses wonderfully tended coastlines with white seashores and beautiful weather, some of these are, Javea, Altea, Guardamar, and Torrevieja. In addition are a number of monuments to a heritage that has afforded Javea all of its interesting societal and time-honored celebrated visitor sites.

Bullfighting in the Streets You may have always thought expensive tickets were the only way to find a great seat within a bullring, yet in the summertime, it is popular in Javea to drive the bulls into the streets. Eighteen-year-old young men make all the plans for this long-established show. They block off streets and created a dead end street that becomes a makeshift round up. The idea behind this spectacle is for the men to demonstrate how brave they are, since they have become of age. Sometimes at night, pieces of cloths soaked in oil are fastened onto the bulls' horns. Then set afire. It all looks prehistoric, does it not? Once again, it seems that the men again are trying to resist these valiant bulls.

The Raisin Market Transcendental in Javea's past was the summertime when the greater part of the locals would go to their country villa homes near the town center and harvest grapes. Gathering grapes is a lengthily and demanding process, as they utilize only part of the muscatel grapes characteristic for producing raisins. The grapes, having been cut, are transported to a series of scolding bins and a boiling water and salt, which cracks the grape skin so that it will dry quicker. Javea once brought economic growth to Spain as an international exporter of raisins. Now, in the market however, countless manufactured goods including raisins flow from Alicante.

Holidays In Florida - Fun Things To Do In Orlando

By John Iseda

Orlando, a city famous all over the world for the great theme parks, is surprisingly only the sixth largest in Florida. The weather is always great in Orlando, which coupled with a multitude of attractions makes it a perfect place for a family vacation. Needless to say, there are lots of fun things to do in Orlando.

While the majority of Orlando's income is from its booming tourism industry, it would be unfair just to label it a theme park city especially when it has other profitable industries which compete with tourism; aerospace and electronics. There are around 52 million tourists visiting coming to the region each year and hence, it is obvious that to accommodate that many visitors there has to be a large number of attractions.

When thinking of Orlando, there's one place that immediately comes to mind. Walt Disney World is one of the main reasons for the city's popularity. Apart from its world famous theme parks, Disney World now offers a lot more lodging possibilities than it used to not so long ago.

Sea World is another very popular theme park and although there are only a couple of rides there, it really doesn't matter as a family will find plenty of entertainment from all the sea creatures there including shows from dolphins and killer whales which should not be missed. However, many other shows are constantly going on where it is possible to get really close to sea creatures and you might find it hard to fit all the shows in with just one visit.

There are many more tourist attractions in Orlando, with Universal Studios and Universal Islands of Adventure being the most popular. Be sure to give them a try, as they offer a huge number of coasters and rides.

However, if you are not a big theme park fan, the Arabian Nights show might be the thing for you. It features sixty trained horses and provides great entertainment for the entire family.

When you plan a trip to Orlando it is important to have some idea in advance of where you are going to stay, eat and what attractions you intend to visit as it is very easy to get sidetracked as there is so much to see and do. There is an abundance of places to stay at all budget levels, including many luxury hotels with great sports facilities.

As you can clearly see, Orlando does have a lot to offer for everyone. The Disney World, while amazing, is definitely not the only attraction of this great city. If you decide to spend your family vacation in Orlando, you are guaranteed to have an unforgettable time.

Art Involvement With Your Kids

By Mara Hernandez-Capili

Art had always been a big part of everybody's life. It expands critical and creative thinking. There are a lot of benefits art and craft can give. Craft can get kids working with their bare hands and think in the abstract on how they can make a certain project. Kids would learn how to put their thought into something concrete and express it through art.

Art and craft can be a lot more motivating than watching TV. It is even better than playing video games. Art and craft allow kids to use their whole brain capacity. Art is a form of expression; something simple could mean a lot. Also, kids who cannot express themselves verbally uses art as their way of saying what they want. Having kids open up to the elements of arts make them develop their inner artist within. On the other hand, too much gadgets can hinder their natural abilities.

Kids and art can go together easily; by this, even a 1 year old kid doodles if given a crayon and a paper. Real artists are born and not made, but one can be one if they dedicate themselves and improve their skill in art. Art enhances concentration and dedication. There is never bad art, it doesn't matter if a child cannot draw or anything, art is simply having fun and enjoying yourself, and nothing beats the enjoyment art can give you.

Art and craft give a growing child lot of developmental benefit. Art can keep the kids mind busy, and it helps them focus on a certain task. Also, art promotes creative play. It prepares a child for the future even if they will not pursue a career revolving in it. By working with art and craft, children improve their fine motor skills, it enhances their eye and hand coordination.

Art and craft festivals are one way of introducing art to kids, having them exposed to these kinds of events helps them learn. Art and craft is a combination of education and entertainment. Art and craft festivals can also strengthen family bonds. Here, families can pass the time together and at the same time have parents reinforce the link between their kids and arts.

Top 5 Cheap Hotels in Atlanta Georgia

By Chris Linch

Finding a first-class rate in Atlanta Georgia on a hotel is not a tough chore. You can always find a really cheap hotel in the city. The only point you want to pay consideration to is where you are staying. You don't want to end up staying in a part of town in which you will not be at ease.

In this commentary I have paid no interest to location, I am merely going to reveal the top 5 cheap hotels that fall within the city limits of Atlanta. You will want to shop through these hotels to make sure they are in an area you want to stay. I also recommend you book in advance, and book with a site that has multiple hotel chains. The likelihood of you being moved to an alternative hotel, if one doesn't meet your standards, are elevated if you book with a hotel discounter instead of directly through a hotel.

The principal 5 cheap hotels in Atlanta are:

Hometown Inn starts at just $30 nightly.

Microtel Inn Galleria starts at $32 nightly

Days Inn/Jimmy Carter Blvd. starts at $34 nightly.

Masters Inn Marietta starts at $34 nightly.

The greatest way to save money is to book at a site which offers a low price pledge. This means that prior to your trip if you find a lower price the site will match the price or refund your money so you can book the lower rate. Most hotel chains do not offer this feature because they really sell their rooms at wholesale to suppliers and consequently would always be undercut.

Booking in advance is the best way to save funds because as the hotel gets more reservations they will raise prices. You need to make a decision when you are going to go and then get your trip booked, you can make changes later on most reservations, but you will be subject to the higher rates since it is closer to the time of your trip.

Top 5 Cheap Hotels in Chicago Illinois

By Chris Linch

Oh the gorgeous city of Chicago. This is one of the top destinations in the country, such fantastic city. Whether you are going to Wrigley Field or the Magnificent Mile you will take pleasure in Chicago. Each person I know that vacations or just travels to Chicago always says it is one of their desired cities to visit.

If you are visiting Chicago a short time in the future, I thought I would offer you with some hotels that you can look for to save money on your trip. These hotels are in no particular area, they are simply just the lowest rates obtainable in the city of Chicago.

Here are the first 5 cheap hotels in Chicago:

Super 8 Prospect Heights starts at $41 per night.

Howard Johnson Chicago Lansing starts at $44 per night

Howard Johnson Inn and Suites Elk Grove Village O'Hare starts at $44 per night.

Crossland Chicago Waukegan starts at $45 per night

Howard Johnson Addison also starts at $45 per night.

Chicago similar to other cities you need to be aware of what surrounds your hotel. These are simply the cheapest rates offered, but you would want to pay attention to where they are. Chicago is a big city so staying too far away from what you want to pay a visit could initiate problems in transportation.

The more in demand an area is the more money you are going to disburse. This is because the hotel rates are based on occupancy. If occupancy at a property is increased then that directly affects the price which means that the price is also going to go up.

The more in advance that you can essentially book your trip, the more you will save, particularly in an area with high demand. If you are going to Chicago in the next 12 months, I suggest you find a website with a low price guarantee and book your reservations at this instant. If you find a lower price over the next several months, this website will honor it. Most will honor right up until you check in.

The Mysterious Chinese Miao Guzang Festival: A Story Thousands Of Years Old

By Clare Liu

The GuZang festival is celebrated once every 13 years by the Miao minority in southern China. The local people dress up themselves with their spectacular silver jewelry that weights 30 pounds, and attend all activities held during the festival.

During the festival, the Miao always use happy and cheerful words to avoid any unpleasant feelings. For slaughtering a pig, they say kiss the official; for bringing a butcher knife, they say send me the leaf; for heating a stove with the straw to cook the pork, they say let's cover the official. After they finish eating and are full, they will say full of the warehouse.

On the 5th day of the GuZang festival, the sacred bulls are shown up around the village, with firecrackers exploding loudly. The bulls are decorated with beautiful ornaments.

The next day just before dawn, the bulls are butchered. Their heads are lined up facing east, which indicates the ancestors of the Miao come from the eastern part of China. Then a ceremony is held to release souls of these bulls from purgatory. Finally people sing the old sacrificial songs together.

After the ceremony, the meat of bulls is divided and distributed for people to hold feasts at home.

In the next few days, the Miao continue to enjoy the happiness of their intoxicating festival. They sing and dance with the beautiful Lusheng and drum music played as the background.

The thrilling bullfighting game is always held during the festival. Two bulls fight with each other furiously in the game. The one that gets killed is regarded as a hero and will be buried with a big funeral. His brave battle story is written on the gravestone.

There is a very interesting story about the origin of the GuZang festival, but to learn about it, visit my website below!

You need to settle on when you are going to go and then get your trip booked, you can make changes afterward on most reservations, but you will be subject to the elevated rates since it is closer to the time of your trip.

Investments in Perdido Key Florida

By Chris Linch

If I was ready to buy a condo someplace in this country it would be Perdido Key Florida. There are a few reasons. Number one is that there are very few hotels in the area, so you can rent them out. The view on the shoreline is just beautiful over the Gulf of Mexico. You are close to both Alabama and Florida and even Mississippi.

I once traveled to this area for the Mullet Toss. It is a beach bash where people throw a fish from Florida to the Alabama line. It was a fantastic beach party, with a lot of things to do. The thing I love about this area is that it is so casual. You can go all over the place in just a bathing suit, or a t shirt. You dont need to be all fancied up to go out to have a meal.

If you are looking to travel to this area you are going to rent a condo. There plainly are no hotels in this city that I am conscious of. Everything there is vacation rentals. This is not a ghastly thing, because you can actually get a nice place right on the beach with a balcony for less than you can get a hotel room.

There are many property managers that run the condos, so if you are looking for an investment this is a great place to invest. You can by a condo, and then take a vacation to it for a few weeks a few times a year. Then the other 48+ weeks you can lease it out like a hotel room by hiring one of these property management firms.

The only competition you have is other condo owners. This allows you to travel free, and you can actually depreciate the cost of the condo over time since it is an investment property.

There are some tips though if you can invest and you are just traveling to the area. Most of the hotel websites that rent hotels, also rent condos in the area just like hotel rooms. You can save a lot of cash by simply getting a condo this way.

Simply visit a discount hotel site and search for Perdido Key Florida and book yourself in one of those beach front condos. Keep in mind they are STILL rebuilding from the damage of Hurricane Ivan. It is still just a beautiful place to stay.

Car Rental Discounts and How to Get Them

By Wayne Swanson

We all like to get a price reduction on things we buy or rent, and car rental is no different but there are certain rules you need to adhere to if you want the best deal available.

The first thing you need to do is to find at least four renting a car agencies or companies and the web comes very handy in your search, from where you need to jot down all the contact numbers. Before you finalize with any company ensure that you have searched thoroughly enough, as you would not like to miss out on a company which is offering the best price, simply because you did not spend enough time or effort in your searches.

It is always a good idea to check out if the rental agency is running any discounted deals at the time you phone as you could save yourself quite a few dollars. More often than not, the car rental company would have a business tie-up with a hotel or airline business, which is something worth checking as this aspect could further lower your rental costs.

The collection and drop off are the most common issues that you will have to face when renting your car so if you don't want to be annoyed later on, you better discuss such arrangements with the company. You have to make sure that you select the car which is the right size for you, as hiring a large vehicle, when there is only two of you, can be a bring drain on your expenditure.

Most renting a car companies are famous for adding last-minute extra costs, just when you are thinking that you have struck a good deal, and one such extra cost is the fee that you pay for reserving a vehicle of your choice. Renting a car should not be very costly, and here are some suggestions, which can help you keep your expenditures low. Free upgrade offers are from time to time be made available by some rental offices so paying them a visit and looking for those offers first thing in the morning as soon as you have time is indeed very beneficial. The biggest advantage of reaching the renting a car office is that you might be able to find a large vehicle without any extra charge, as there is every possibility of a shortage of cars that belong to a lower grade. Often considerable price reductions are available online as more companies compete there so it may be worth checking there first. If you are really smart you can supply the company with just your budget and let them sort the rest out for you - now that makes it really simple.

Make sure that you return the car after filling the gas tank, or else, you might have to pay more than any fuel station if you let them fill up the fuel tank on your behalf. If you are worried about things like getting a hotel or an airline business reservation then you better look for bundles with fly-drive-stay or fly-drive as these will not only grant you rental deductions but can also save you all the accompanying worries. An excellent travel agent can absolutely give you the assistance that you just might need.

If you are a frequent flyer and have gathered some deduction points it is a good idea to redeem such bonus points against your renting a car costs, and several rental companies accept these to offset the rental prices. Since this offer depends the most to the time left on your deduction, you have to consider each and every angle to determine whether this is really reasonable. Always remember that there are many attractive deals going around, which can never be yours till you specifically ask for them, so do not feel embarrassed to ask for them when you are dealing with the company.

Australia Is Perfect Gay Travel Destination

By Howie Holben

There is a phenomenal vacation destination, filled with one-of-a-kind adventures and exciting locales. Its cities are urbane and vibrant, perfect for gay visitors. It is a land of wonders so diverse, with natural and manmade settings so remarkable, it is almost indescribable. Where? Australia!

Australia offers the gay traveler an impressive and welcoming destination unlike any other in the world. It is no wonder gay couples and singles are heading "Down Under" for the experience of a lifetime.

When you're "Down Under," it is safe to say you're seldom far from an experience that will delight you as never before. Consider visiting the Yarra, Coal River or Swan Valleys if you're a wine connoisseur. These areas produce succulent grapes used in Australia's world-renowned wines. Visit the wineries and their tasting rooms to experience first-hand the contrast between a smooth white and smoky red. Adrenalin-seekers can plan a diving expedition off the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland or Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia.

Visitors can swim with giant whale sharks at Ningaloo. In the Northern Territory at Darwin Harbor, you can dive World War II shipwrecks. In Tasmania you can hike national parks and ancient rainforests, home to interesting plants and animals.

No gay traveler can miss Melbourne, the second-largest city in Australia. This is a multi-cultural metropolis where Victorian and contemporary architecture blend seemlessly. In this very gay friendly city, you can spend time with the sculptures in Werrebee Park, shop to you drop at high-end shops or less expensive boutiques, go to first class theater productions, and then end your day with a visit to one of Melbourne's hot clubs!

For gay travelers who enjoy driving, consider embarking on the Pacific Coast Touring Route and take in the lush and quaint scenery. But remember, Australians drive on the left side of the road! If that sounds too sedate, you can get your heart pumping during various water sports, such as river rafting or kayaking.

Australia is located in the Southern Hemisphere, so the seasons there are reversed from the season in the Northern Hemispere. In general, Australias coastal regions are warm and humid, while the interior regions are desert-like and dry, with blistering temperatures in the daytime that dip to freezing at night.

Finding suitable accommodations in Australia is a breeze, with many gay-and-lesbian-owned hotels open for business. The discerning traveler can choose from the most luxurious four-star experience to less expensive digs. There are hotels and apartments to fit all budgets, in addition to hostels and camping.

Holidays To Alcudia, Jewel Of The Balearic Islands

By Geoff Danvers

One of the most popular tourist attractions in the Mediterranean Sea is Alcudia on the island of Majorca in the Balearic archipelago. The Balearic Islands, officially a province of Spain, are an archipelago in the western Mediterranean due east of the Iberian Peninsula (i.e., Spain and Portugal).

The four main islands are Ibiza, Majorca, Minorca and Formentera. The capital of the province is Palma (population approximately 415,000) on Majorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands. The Spanish royal family summers in Palma. An hour's drive east of the Palma airport is Alcudia, a wildly popular tourist spot. Europeans from all walks of life enjoy summer holidays to Alcudia.

The beauty of the Alcudian seaside is the stuff of postcards and tourist brochures: off white sand stretching for kilometers, luxurious tourist resorts hugging the beaches; coves further up the coast where rented small watercraft dot the waters, you diving off one into the sea to do a little swimming and snorkeling. It's like a beer commercial come to life. In the opinion of many, the Balearic Islands are the rival in every way of the Greek Islands for rugged beauty. And everybody seems friendlier and more relaxed.

Within the city of Alcudia is the ancient walled old town area. Here people, not cars, rule. Cobblestone streets and squares are lined with shops, restaurants and cafs. A memory that many take with them is of sitting under the shade of an awning, sipping a glass of wine and gazing out across a dun colored stone plaza to the green waters of the sea.

S'Albufera is a seaside nature preserve enjoyed by many. The massive Ho
