The visa-free zone covers travel as far south as Sharm el-Sheikh, and you can also enjoy St. Catherine, Dahab and Nuweiba.
Taba Egypt has plenty of things to do and see while you are there. The clear, unpolluted waters of the Gulf of Aqaba contain sea life that is second to none around the globe. You can enjoy a few hours at the beach, and then meander through the cafes and shops after a beach side lunch.
If you are flying in, Taba International Airport is 35km from town. Taxis into town are plentiful. From Cairo you can take a decent long distance bus (mostly male passengers) to the border.
