For Halloween, one of the great egg cartons crafts you and your kids can make is a scary bat you can hang from the ceiling or from trees outside. Take a regular, clean egg carton and ensure it is clean. If you want to hang your bat outside, you will want to choose a Styrofoam one rather than a cardboard one. Cut out three of the egg cups keeping all three attached side-by-side. Take the 2 outside egg cups and cut out the front and back. These are your bat wings. Paint your bat black and then use white paint or glue on googly eyes. Make a hole in the apex of the center egg cup and then a string that has a knot at the end that won't go through the hole. Put the string in the hole, hang your bat, and enjoy your creation!

There are masses of other egg carton crafts you can make for other seasons too. Have you ever thought about making an egg carton caterpillar? This egg carton craft is actually easy and is especially suited for the younger crowd. Just take a common dozen egg container and cut in half lengthwise leaving six egg cups together. Use paint, glitter, or whatever your heart desires to embellish each egg cup. For the front one, draw on a lovable face and employ a pipe cleaner to make antennae. What may be even better? Don call him a caterpillar ; call him a bookworm which will inspire youngsters to read more!

going back to egg carton crafts for Halloween, you can also make a spider from an egg carton cup. Just separate one cup from the carton. Using the point of a scissors, an adult should make 4 small holes on each side of the cup for the legs. Insert a pipe cleaner into each of the holes twisting it from the inside to secure. Draw a face on the front and decorate the body and you've got an egg carton spider. You may paint the cup black as well and then decorate in an appropriate way.
