Croatia Holidays

By Jeffrey Francis

New and more exciting holiday destinations are becoming available all the time these days. One such destination is Croatia; which gives an amazing array of activities and sights to enjoy. Croatia holidays can be a relaxing retreat, a journey of exploration through the Dalmatian coast or a cultural exchange through its medieval sights.

To soak up the culture of the Dalmata region, just head south for medieval ports set amongst the staggeringly rugged mountainous scenery. Or perhaps you will prefer to explore the Dalmatian coast on your own sailing yacht? Or if all this is a little too hectic for you, head inland to relax in the fertile plains.

Other cultural activities include the UNESCO cities of Dubrovnik, Trogir and Split, whilst its capital, Zagreb, allows you to take in the old medieval towns amongst its cobbled streets.

Once you have submersed yourself in the cultural story of the country; head to coast to soak up the sun and sea in the beautiful setting of the Adriatic. From scuba diving and snorkeling; to the more relaxed sunbathing it is all here for you.

Shopping too is an up and coming trend amongst the bigger cities; so do be sure to keep your eyes open for novel boutiques and the markets that crop up frequently.

If food is your thing; Croatia could well become one of your favorite destinations. With fresh seafood; decadent truffles and the best wines available you will be spoilt for choice. Influenced from the Italian, Hungarian and Dalmatian regions, the food and wine are amongst the best Europe has to offer.

Whether you are heading off on a Croatia holidays to relax, to challenge yourself, or to broaden your mind, you will find many things to fill your day. Just be sure to soak up the uniqueness of the region; it may not be here for much longer as the tourists head in.
