Vacationers love beach vacations and in south-west Florida you will find Naples, a gorgeous beach. This city is regarded as the jewel in the crown of the Florida coastline. For all year round fun in the sun, golfing, first class shopping, fine dining and adventure, Naples cannot be beaten by the best of playgrounds.

Naples is a mere hop, skip and jump from the "Everglades" an untamed tropical wonderland. Or if it is island seclusion you are seeking, you will find it. This is one of the most famous sand-boxes in the US and it boasts the calmest seas as well as one of the best climates. Many water sports enthusiasts, beach lovers and enthusiastic vacationers love this city for its many recreational facilities.

Adventure is what the Florida Everglades is about, so there is not shortage of adventure available from Naples. Vacations are not only about beaches, shopping and eating. The Everglades present the visitor with the opportunity to come eye to eye with animal life in their own natural habitat. This includes a great many unique bird species as well as bison, alligator, snakes and panther, as well as others.

The Everglades are made up of more than 10,000 islands, all of them uninhabited, as well as varied and unique ecosystems, so there is plenty to do, see and learn. Exploring these by kayak or canoe as a means of transport places the adventurer on and eye to eye level with the beauty of this tropical paradise. As they slide through mangrove tunnels and float over fields of saw grass. This kind of adventure makes meaningful memories and if you are lucky you may even come across a school of dolphins.

The Naples Zoo in the Caribbean Gardens is for those of you who like their animal life a little more under control. Although you can still float through island s full of cavorting monkeys and enjoy the thrill of the panther glade, tiger forest and African oasis. This zoological facility is accredited nationally, and is two worlds in one, both a zoological and botanical garden.

Naples has a host of water-spots available, not least of which is the fishing. If you are an enthusiastic angler, you are able to come into contact with both inland and off-shore fishing, and there are a wide variety game fish to catch.

A visit to Naples would not be complete without at least one attempt to see the gentle manatee in is own habitat. You will find various guides who claim to be able to take you to a spot where you will find them. And one guide company in particular, says you don't have to pay for your trip if you don't get to see a manatee.
